hwgunner, Porsche Parts New & Used

Update 6-25-2005  I have taken a big step in the last couple of weeks and I am going to start offering new Genuine, OEM and Performance parts for all Porsche's.  I am going to start slow but will be able to get most any part you need.  Here is a short list of some of the manufacturer’s I will be featuring:  Titanium Advantage (Strut Bars), Stomski Racing, Tarett Engineering and Precise Lines (SS Brake Lines).  I will also be concentrating on service parts for all Porsche cars.  These items will be offered mostly in a new eBay store that I will be opening in the next week or two and I will be running weekly specials as I get the time.

Hi there, my name is hwgunner, er, I mean Jonathan.  I have been a member of eBay for the last 5 years or so.  In the beginning I auctioned off just some of the stuff lying around my house.  Now things are a different story.  EBay has become a second job for me now, quite by accident.  It started simply enough with some parts that were lying around from my Porsche 914 project.  I put these parts on eBay just to clear up the garage a little and, not only did the parts sell but I had a few people ask if I had other parts I was going to list.  I had some more parts so I listed them and they sold very well also.  Pretty soon I noticed that I had an eBay buyer that had purchased from me a couple of times and things were getting bigger and bigger.  Soon I ran out of parts to sell and I had to make a decision.  What to do?  I went to eBay and bought 2 Porsche 914's that were ready for the junk pile.  I got them home and my friends said I was crazy.  I am glad I didn't listen to them.  I proceeded to take the cars apart and put the good parts up for sale.  To my astonishment, it looked as though people couldn't get enough.  Right from the beginning I felt the best way to sell was to start prices low and let the buyers determine the final value of the parts.  This, as it turns out was the key and things have been growing ever since.  I have honed my skills over the last year and have a pretty good system down now.  I know there is room for improvement and I always try and listen to my customers before making changes.  I try not to make changes I want; instead, I make the changes my customers want.  So far it has worked out great.

Since this has grown so much I have developed several rules and guidelines that pertain to all my auctions.  First off I prefer to receive payment through Paypal.  Second, no matter when an auction ends I do all my shipping on Wednesdays and Fridays.  Once you have paid, I will ship it the following shipping day.  I also ship everything by Priority Mail or FedEx except for international orders.  If you are from outside the USA you have a choice of Global Priority, Air Parcel Post or Economy Parcel Post.  Because International shipments have special circumstances they have a $4.00 handling fee.  I always send an invoice to my customers within 24 hours of the end of an auction and I always require payment within 4 days of the end of the auction.  I also always include a shipping calculator with my auctions so that there will be less chance of shipping costs surprising someone.  Lastly, I have generated a pretty good feedback rating, do check it out if you like, and want people to understand how I have done this.  It is very simple.  I do my best every time, I make mistakes periodically and I always listen to the customers need and make things right to the best of my ability period!
