"I ordered a Seagate Cheetah X15 from this company in April. The shipment was received very quickly and they shipped within 24 hours after I placed the order. There was a problem with the drive, it would intermittently spindown while running Windows. Anyways, after extensive testing to determine it was soley the drive that was failing, I requested a RMA from Hyper Micro. The RMA number was issued in under a hour and I sent the drive in promptly. I received the replacement within a week and it has been working great. Overall, I would highly recommend dealing with this company. The sales and support staff are very helpful and the company works very fast to send out shipments in a timely fashion. I've already ordered from them again and continue to be satisfied."

Here's a story from back in mid-December of 2000: After doing a search on Pricewatch for some Ultra 160 SCSI hard drives, I found that Hypermicro had all of the drives taht I wanted in stock at the same time. I wanted to order all the drives from one place, to simplify shipping, even though I could have probably purchased them for cheaper elsewhere. Also, Hypermicro's shipping prices (Particularly Fedex 2nd Day) are Outstanding. I thought it would be best to order from one place, that way I didn't have to deal with multiple vendors if I had a problem. I ordered 2 Quantum Atlas 10K II 9.1GB Hard drives, 2 Seagate Cheetah X15 18.4GB 15,000 RPM Hard drives, and 1 Seagate Cheetah 73.4GB 10,000RPM with 16MB cache. I set up 2 RAID arrays, one where I striped the 2 9.1GB drives, and one where I striped the 2 18.4GB drives. After consulting a friend, we came to the conclusion that striping 3 18.4GB drives would be faster then the 2 seperate arrays. I was very pleased with the performance of the Quantum drives, and they ran very quiet and cool for 10,000 RPM hard drives. They were excellent drives, with nothing wrong with them, but I wanted to exchange them. I searched on Hypermicro's website for their return policy, and I noticed that there was a 15% restocking fee on all non-defective items. I decided to call them and see if they would make an exception for me, since I would be exchanging the 2 hard drives for one hard drive which was more then the 2 I was returning combined. The person I spoke to placed me on hold for a while, and when he came back to the phone told me that the manager had approved the waiving of the 15% restocking fee. I was very pleased to hear that, and within a few days I placed the order for my 3rd Cheetah X15, and shipped my 2 hard drives in the original box with everything that came with it back to them. By the next week I had noticed that I had been credited the full amount for each hard drive, and was very pleased. I did not get refunded for shipping, but I did not expect that, especially because it was part of a large order, and had I driven to them to pick up the products, then returned them to them, they would not refund me gas money. I have to say, they are an excellent online merchant who (as of now)carries strictly SCSI Products, (NO complaints here! Hopefully they'll keep it that way!) and have excellent customer serivce, and very good shipping prices. I have since referred all of my friends who purchase SCSI products to Hypermicro. One of my friends purchased a Quantum Atlas 10K II 18.3GB hard drive (upon my suggestion) within the last month from Hypermicro and loves it. I'm glad I originally purchased the 2 9.1GB drives. Had I not, I would have no input on Quantum's Atlas 10K II series, nor Hypermicro's return policy. I plan on purchasing some more SCSI hard drives in the near future, and I'll be looking at Hypermicro's way! They've just got a customer for life!"

"Just ordered a Quantum Atlas 10K II 18GB and Adaptec 29160 card. Wonderful website. Easy to use. Lots of little failsafes built in to make sure you are sure you're ordering exactly what you want (e.g., are you sure you want to submit the order for $550?). Their prices for Quantum drives are amazing--their 18GB costs as much other site's 9GB. So far so good and, after reading other comments, I expect only the best from them. A great company!"

"I ordered from this company based on the rating here. all infomational questions was done using email. purchase was done over the phone. reviewed all evaluations by previous customers and decided that the low error rate was acceptable. since this company mostly sells scsi products well i almost exclusively run in my system, this company seemed like a good place to spend my money. i sent various emails requesting info on an adaptec 29160 whitebox scsi controller card and a plextor 12/10/32 ide cdrw drive. i got replies within the day to all emails. i ordered the asc-29160wb on thursday with next day shipping. shipping was .30 cents cheaper than what was listed on the website. i had to call the company to get a tracking number since i did a phone purchase. item came on specified day (friday). item was packed in bubblewrap and then in popcorn. no damage to box or to contents. item has been running for 3 days without any problems. item was new and had the lastest bios revision (not an old shelf item). since i knew what i wanted, the order process was quick with no sales pressure to upgrade to a better product. only cons are no email for tracking number and low product variety. but those are really the insignificant things since the company is really great. will definitely order again when the need arises for scsi products."

I called them up and they areed to send me the cables FedEx overnight at their expense. Overall I am happy with the company.
