The Muttering Gutterers Crew - Me, Top Row 2nd from Right
|
. . .when my best friend approached me about selling on EBAY. I had just returned from volunteering in New Orleans in the Upper and Lower 9th Ward where I worked on giving people a hand UP on rebuilding their lives. I never thought of selling on EBAY.
(Please email me at HZELECTRONICS@AOL.COM to find out more. I will tell you it was the most rewarding experience I have ever done, slept in a tent for a couple of weeks and will do it again. A special thanks to COMMONGROUNDRELIEF.ORG, the "Muttering Gutterers" and Mr. Dwayne Johnson - the owner of the house we worked on for such a rewarding experience). . . .ANYWAY
We were trying to find product to sell on EBAY and being new we just happened to stumble upon an AD for EBAY Live in Las Vegas. Well, say no more. We booked the flight and hotel, attended the classes and seminars and I was hooked. Completely and utterly hooked.
So, having just started sellnig on EBAY (as you can tell by my rating), I will tell people that read this one fact about me. I have been in Sales for over 13 years and sold successfully for 2 Fortune 1000 companies. My clients ALWAYS came first even though it was not my job to be customer service. Thats how I became successful and I look forward to bringing that to my EBAY selling experiences.
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE READ MY USPS VS. UPS REVIEW.
After I came back from New Orleans, I was a guest speaker for an organization to give my first hand experience. There were about 18 couples / 36 people in attendance. About a week later, I started to receive checks from these people to put towards what I was hoping would be a large donation. Since I had received a list of items that Common Ground needed, I went onto Ebay and purchased some of the items on the list. Then I went to Lowes to purchase the rest. All in all, the donations amounted to $250 and shipping in excess of $35. I purchased 200 reciprocating saw blades, a 75 piece Socket Wrench Set, 110 piece titanium drill bit set, 2 Ryobi 18 volt rechargable batteries for power tools.
I made the mistake of not insuring the package. I had sent many packages via USPS and never had a problem. Well, the unexpected happened.
As of today 8/9, they cannot find my parcel. Additionally, I was told that EVEN AFTER I FILLED OUT THE PROPER FORMS, the USPS office's policy is that they DO NOT CALL IF A PARCEL IS NOT FOUND!!!! So my question, that went unanswered, was"How am I supposed to know the results of the USPS investigation - like, when it over??" It may come as a surpirse to you, but I didnt get an answer that made sense!!! The answer I received, "If you get the package returned to you, its over." NO!!!! REALLY????
Now, I am still in the process of tracking this package. I am enraged that USPS's policy and so should everyone.
I am distressed because the Kindness of Others (who donated) is not being realized by the people in need. And what I heard from the Postmaster General at the EBAY convention in Vegas seems to be a crock. Hopefully, this will all work out in the end. What I need for my self concsious is that package to be delivered!!!
