I am recently retired, moved from Portland, Maine to be near my one adult daughter who is now expecting my 1st grandchild. My 30 yrs of professional work has included being a social worker, Housing Counselor, middle school teacher, montessori teacher, and working for Habitat for Humanity. After all these years, I receive $354.54 per month in retirement. After all these years of many professional hats and being a Mom (MY BIGGEST JOY), life is just starting. I am now taking law classes. I have an adult Married daughter, 33 who is an assistant states attorney.
Happiness is something that is done. Being able to laugh at one's self is the daily rejuvenation of life. A sense of humor is one of the greatest gifts to shower on those around me. Life has enough to be sad about, find something funny and it will help with whatever comes your way.
I enjoy making creative projects; I design little angels out of clay pots, make windchimes, embroider clothing, jewelry making, baby items, decorating and staging homes. My newest craft is embroidering baby pillows with cute little munchkins (designs such as a little boy with his baseball cap on backwards, wearing a jumpsuit and holding pansies behind his back, or the little girl with the stylish wide brim hat, wide smile, wearing a long ivory dress with a blue satin bow). On each pillow, I embroider the baby's name, date of birth, and weight. I am able to edit my images to make the babies darker or lighter toned--- change hair color--- eyes! They are sooooooo cute. I love them. I made them when I was teaching for the teachers, and then in my Red Hat Society group--- for their grandchildren!!!! Also, I make embroidered jumpers for girls, embroidered jumpsuits for little boys! AND, I will guarantee my work from coming apart for up to 30 days.
For fun with the gals, I am a member of the Red Hat Society
I have been an Ebay member since 1999. I love communicating with Ebay members from the many far away places, including overseas.
I am firmly committed when it comes to shipping charges. I refuse to make a profit off the postal fees. I will not charge outrageous shipping costs and claim that they are part of the handling fees. Nor will I mark up shipping costs to include selling costs which should be part of the bidding price.
