Hi there.
A little bit about me: I've been a full time New Hampshire rare book and map dealer for almost 25 years, since before I graduated from college. While I was in Graduate school I realized I could no longer resist a deeper calling, and since then I have devoted myself to making my way in life as an antiquarian and rare book dealer.
NOTE ABOUT CONTACTING ME: Because I have a family with children, I try hard not to work on weekends. Thus, I typically don't respond to emails from Friday afternoon - Monday morning 9 am. Please keep this in mind. You'll most likely hear from me only during normal USA EST business hours Monday - Friday 9-4, rarely on weekends.
I hope to add to my store listings 5 days a week. All the items you see in my store are completely genuine original antiques. I have an assistant photograph everything, so you can see it on your screen in some detail, and there's never any attempt to mis-represent anything, or make it appear better than it is. I strive for accuracy in my internet listings so you can buy from me with confidence and be happy when the item(s) physically arrives to you.
I'm trying to price items moderately, so the friendly prices you see here reflect a desire to sell these items at a fair value. They are also hopefully attractively priced for frame shops, interior decorators as well as collectors and institutions around the world. Dealers and decorators may also like my generous bulk terms.
Trade/ Professional bulk sales possible, normally in minimum quantities over 5 items. This special discount applies only to listings seen on my user ID ibsmapsbooks. Please email me for the terms.
PAYMENTS: I'm happy to accept Paypal, checks, & credit cards directly; as you prefer. Once eBay changes their rules soon, I will only be able to accept Paypal
SHIPPING COSTS:
I will do all I can to keep the costs as low as possible for you.
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: PLEASE ASK FOR A SHIPPING QUOTE before you check-out & pay. I am happy to try to ship items as cheaply as the post office rates will allow. As everyone knows, the US PO recently increased rates dramatically, so sending books outside the US costs a fair bit sometimes. Please understand this if you buy something from me- please email me first if shipping cost is a concern for you.
Parcels worth under $50 I can send normal cheap airmail in a sturdy tube for $12 (Outside US), but this method is uninsured & NOT trackable. Paypal payments over $50 need to ship registered or insured and this costs around $20-25 per parcel. I'm always happy to combine similar items together to save you on shipping costs.
If you are ever unhappy for any reason, please send me an email and give me the chance to address and fix it. I am honest and am always only trying to do my best. I'm striving to offer a broad range of original old maps, prints & books and then ship them securely, so they arrive safely.
Thanks for taking the time to look and I hope you'll buy from me soon!
