Prompt, quality shipping As I know most folks who purchase items are anxious for their arrival, I strive to ship out within one business day of payment clearing. If an item ships priority, it often goes out the next business day (as I can arrange for a USPS pickup). Media mail, Parcel Post, First Class (and FedEx HD/Ground) may be delayed 1-2 days until a priority package is ready to ship or I make a trip to the post office. Earlier paid means higher in the queue for shipping. There is often a limit (not in number but "bulk") of items I am able to ship out each day. As I know many folks seek to reduce the monies paid for shipping charges to maximize the monies available to purchase items, most auctions do offer a selection of services, and many items can be combined for shipping reducing the overall cost. Overnight/express delivery is available; please inquire for a quote. Items are usually shipped in new (unused) cardboard boxes, with items individually wrapped in bubble wrap and surrounded by shipping popcorn. (Some items that can be shipped flat may be shipped in padded envelopes.) The handling charge added to all shipments covers the materials. I have years of experience in shipping most items I sell and have little history of breakage in transit. Most items have optional insurance available; items shipped without insurance are at the buyer's risk. Cut off for shipping is nominally 5pm PT (but may be eariler depending on "life"). Upcoming shipping delays: No shipping August 23-27, 2007; I may be able to drop off some packages on the way out of town 8/23 if paid by 1900 PT 8/22. Due to gas prices, shipping may be at most every third business day for ground/media/parcel post. In order to ensure that items are received by those that paid for them, items are sent to PayPal confirmed address.
Combining lots for shipping In most cases, you are more than welcome to combine items that close within stated limit to save on shipping. So if you purchase an item on Friday, and another the three days later on Monday, they may be able to be combined. Note, however, that payment is still due (to be received) by the stated deadline of each individual auction, which is usually three days after auction close, not a combined payment by the latest auction close deadline. If mailing payment, it is suggested that you allow at least three business days for a first class envelope to arrive. For shipping, I have about four different sizes of boxes I use. Small, medium, large and extra large. The large (16x14x8; 10) and extra-large (20x14x10; 15) are subject to the new (5/14/07) USPS Priority "dimensional weight" shipping. So, even if an item is "one" pound, it might ship at the "15" pound rate. Please inquire before bidding about the approximate size of any combined lots. Note, some items due to their size/shape/original-packaging cannot be combined. I try to note if an item/auction can or cannot be combined. Some items may be combined for shipping in USPS Priority flat rate box for $11 s/h (and will be quoted so in invoice, but I can't get eBay to automagically set it up). For international customers, USPS Priority International flat rate boxes may be the way to combine shipments. S/H (plus insurance, as applicable) to Canada: $27; Europe, Australia: $40. Note, there is a weight limit on international flat rate contents. There is a maximum number of items that fit into a "max" size box. This is based on the size and shape of items purchased. In very limited circumstances, an "oversize" box might be used (but sometimes it's cheaper to ship two "large" boxes than one "oversize" box). Please confirm before planning on combining lots. Time payments eBay has a built in feature on items over $50 for time payments. However, time payments may be negotiated directly with me as well. Time payment terms ($$s, shipping, length/payment) must be completely agreed to before bidding happens. Time payment offers/terms from bidders with feedback of over 100 may be considered. Please contact me for further questions. On time Payment It is my SOP (standard operating procedure) to open an "Unpaid Item Dispute" if payment is not received within 7 days of auction close. I try to remember to inquire about payment via direct member message about three days after auction close. Due to volume, I am not always able to send "personal" notes to each bidder that payment has not been received. The UID is a mechanism that eBay has provided to communicate with a buyer that payment has not been received. An UID does not become an "Unpaid Item Strike" against a bidder until it is closed (with prejudice), which can happen if bidder does not respond within 7 days of UID opening (or about 14 days after auction close). I do understand "life happens;" communicating there is a delay and the reason for it may mean the difference between negative and positive feedback left. International bidders -- please use PayPal for payment (even if you don't have an account, you may be able to use a credit card via PayPal). Sending MO through the mails may take more than a week. If not using PayPal, please contact me (or use the checkout feature) to let me know that payment is coming via mail. I reserve the right to block bidders who in the past have not paid for auctions in a timely fashion. I reserve the right to block bidders who have had unsatisfactory transactions. I reserve the right to block bidders or cancel bids of those who have multiple won auctions unpaid (especially if bidder's feedback rating is below 100 or the amount of monies owed is $100 or more). (Please don't wait until the end of the auction to attempt to bid if you feel you may be under these restrictions.) Communication is key to prevent misunderstandings. Communication I am often working at my computer and may sometimes answer a question within minutes. But sometimes it's hours or the better part of a day before I can respond. I usually wait until all the auctions of the day are closed before generating invoices (as in case some items may be purchased by the same bidder and can be combined for shipping). So, if you want a faster response, please request total/invoice. I try to respond/leave feedback once a week, but sometimes it stretches to a month.
International Shipping For international shipments I use USPS Priority International. These sales are from a business so all items shipped overseas are declared as merchandise at full purchase value. International shipments may be subject to custom duties and fees and are the responsiblity of the recipient. Global Express shipments may be available; please inquire for quote. |

To protect bidder privacy, when the price or highest bid on an item reaches or exceeds a certain level, User IDs will be displayed as anonymous names. For auction items, a bold price means at least one bid has been received. Note: Anonymous names may appear more than once and may represent different bidders.
