I'm really just a poor college student with an addiction to designer goods (and eBay in general). I often impulse buy, ending up with items that I never use, so most of the items I sell are from my own closet.
Like many fellow eBayers, I HATE to get ripped off. That's really my worst fear when purchasing on eBay. The best advice I can give to other buyers from my own experience is to do extensive research, and if just one thing doesn't add up, DON'T BID. I realize research takes time and effort, but if you're planning to splurge on a designer bag with your hard-earned cash, it's well worth it. The more research you do, the easier it is to spot fakes. You should visit websites of high-end department stores and the designers themselves and look at pictures and read descriptions of the item you are thinking about buying. Also, if you have any questions about the item, take advantage of the customer service. They are usually more than happy to answer, and mostly very quick to respond. Some sites even have live customer service.
