Our business
This is actually an "About Us" page. Established in 1982, schoolers minerals, fossils, & meteorites developed into a full-time business. We exhibit at numerous gem & mineral shows throughout the country and tens of thousands of customers know us personally. We conduct our show business and internet business on a personal basis with 100% satisfaction guaranteed. We are not the largest dealer, nor do we purport to stock only the finest specimens. We do our best to provide fine quality specimens at affordable prices.
Earlene has a degree in Geology with an emphasis in Mineralogy, and worked as a field geologist prior to starting our mineral business (and after learning there is little demand for female geologists). John has a background in engineering, and was interested in fossils and meteorites. Then, in 1989, with the huge cut-back in the nuclear weapons industry, John was forced to take early retirement. Consequently, we went from part-time to full-time show dealers.
Our collecting
John has collected meteorites for several years and is a member in good standing of The Meteoritical Society as well as the International Meteorite Collectors Association (#9322). He remains a collector first, and a dealer second. He has been involved in meteorite acquisitions and trades with other collectors, institutions, and repositories within the USA and abroad.
Earlene (& John) has collected Italian glass from Murano, Venice, Italy, for many years. She is the primary buyer of most of the display pieces in our home.
