J.A's shop
|
|
In sharing my excitement about Ebay with various friends and relatives, J. A. says to me "well, let's go out into the shop and see what I got"...
J.A. pulls out an antique Stanley number 55 Universal Plane with cutters. So, we go back into house and look up Stanley # 55 on Ebay and sure enough, there's an auction going on. As I show J.A. the "number of bids category", he says "you mean to tell me that's a real auction? "... "ain't that something"...
He then says to me, well, In The Spur of The Moment, why don't you put these on...
Hence, begins my venture into Ebay.
As young men, J.A. and his brother, J.W. worked on various ranches throughout New Mexico, Arizona and Mexico. The most notable being the Gray/Diamond "A" Ranch in New Mexico.
J.A. (his given name, not a nickname) has been interviewed by different writers gathering information for their books.
In A hundred Years of Horse Tracks; the story of the Gray Ranch by George Hilliard, J. A. is either referenced or pictured on pages: 86, 114, 131, 134, 135, and 159.
As I have living cowboys for my references, between J.A. and J. W. , my Ebay focus will be on Cowboy, or Ranch collectibles. Especially those accoutrements from New Mexico, Arizona and Mexico.
Please visit me often as one of your favorite sellers, as I will do my best to not disappoint you with my finds.
Assuredly, the stories alone, which I get from J.A. and J.W. will be educational, as well as, entertaining.
Thank you for visiting,
In the Spur of The Moment
