I get asked a lot why my userid is "irenenorton" when that has nothing at all to do with my real name! Who is this Irene Norton person? Irene Adler was the woman to Sherlock Holmes, according to the story A Scandal in Bohemia. I'm a Holmes buff, and often use her name online. When I registered with eBay, IreneAdler was already taken. Well, in the story, she married one Godfrey Norton, a barrister. So I decided to use her married name instead!

I buy lots of sidesaddle-related stuff on eBay, especially postcards. It's a potato chip hobby - you start with one, then another looks good, then another.... Before you know it, you've eaten the whole bag! So to speak. :) I also sell sidesaddle-related things to help finance the postcard collection. Books, scarves, blouses and other clothing, knick-kacks, and, yes, postcards. I also on occassion list my own book, American Side-Saddle Patents, a sidesaddle calendar (in season), and merchandise from my CafePress store. Check out my auctions!
