Each figurine is made of a single piece of mountain wood, unless otherwise denoted, hand carved by sculptors according to their own sketches, drafts and ideas and then painted and decorated by hand with great care by qualified painters. The larger a figurine is, the more elaborate are usually the wood carvings and hand paintings of a piece.

In Europe, many legends are centered around the linden tree. Linden wood is and was used for carving sacred works of art for centuries, and the linden tree, which usually was the village tree, played an important role in the life of early Europeans. Among the Germanic peoples the linden was a "sacred" tree for people in love, the tree that brought fertility and prosperity. Already in the Middle Ages, people carved images of the Virgin Mary and figures of the saints from linden wood, calling the wood lignum sacrum, sacred wood.

Most Figurines are available in 5", 6", 8", 12", 16", 24" and 36" sizes. Up to size 16" are usually hand carved in selected Mountain Maple Wood, 24" and up in Linden Wood.
