Hi, and thanks for stopping by. Just like my eBay userid says, I want buttons; clothing buttons, to be specific. Button collecting is just so fascinating, with the buttons being classified by material, construction, subject, country of origin, age, shape, etc. There's always something new to learn about.
(And Other Unique Stuff)
And there's always something new to learn about something old, too: antiques, vintage items, and the sort of things that make you go, "Wow, how neat!" Those are the kind of items I look for. Please take a look at the list below of some of the things I've found recently. Maybe one of them is just what you've been looking for, too.
Praise: Thank you for an easy, pleasant transaction. Excellent buyer. A++++++.

To protect bidder privacy, when the price or highest bid on an item reaches or exceeds a certain level, User IDs will be displayed as anonymous names. For auction items, a bold price means at least one bid has been received.
Note: Anonymous names may appear more than once and may represent different bidders.
I've held off doing this for almost six years, but lately there have just been too many "problems" cropping up - things that I thought were clearly presented seemed to be misunderstood, things that I thought were obvious and not in need of explict statement were apparently incomprehensible to some.
So, here's the fine print for my auctions. Any statements made in the auction description take precedence over these statements, since the nature of a particular auction may require special consideration and these few statements here can't possibly cover every eventuality.
I like what I do, and I try to make every transaction as smooth and pleasant as possible for everyone concerned. I do have difficult days sometimes, but I try to not let it make it past the keyboard.
If you have any questions about the item up for auction, the method of payment or shipment, the shipping costs, or any other aspect of the potential transaction, PLEASE email me before the auction closes. Asking to negotiate the shipping costs (other than requesting an alternate shipping method in those cases where I note that one is available) or payment method (stamps, trade, etc.) after the auction closes is, at the very least, time-consuming. If I've declared a fixed shipping and handling cost, it's generally based on my experience of what that type of item needs for safe shipment. In over five years of eBaying, I've only had one item arrive damaged.
I offer in my auctions to combine items for shipment on auctions ending in the same week. If you're planning to bid on other items, please let me know immediately after the first auction ends (or even before it ends, if you like). That way, I can keep your completed auction flagged as open rather than process it for payment and then have to adjust its status. Communication is the key to a smooth transaction.
Speaking of communication, eBay requires the buyer and seller to make contact with each other within three days of an auction's close. If you don't email me after receiving my initial notification (even if you've used eBay's "Ask Seller a Question" link or "Request a Total" feature) then I don't know that you've received my email or what your plans are regarding payment. If a day or so passes after the auction and you haven't received an email from me, please follow up. Email has no guarantee of receipt and messages sometimes get blocked by ISPs, bounce due to full mailboxes, or just disappear into the clouds. The sooner we confirm that we can talk to each other, the quicker we can make the necessary arrangements and move on to other things.
Last, but not least, I try very hard to remember that, even though I'm sitting at a keyboard and looking at a computer monitor, there's a human being at the other end of every transaction that wants their item as soon as they can get it and in the condition stated in the auction. I make every attempt to be absolutely candid about the items I sell, but I'm also a human being and I may sometimes fail to notice something about items or mis-identify them. If I've made a mistake and you're dissatisfied with the item, please email me, so we can find a solution. Once again, communication is critical.
Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Hi, Can you tell me why you're selling these when you are a button collector? Just curious.
A: Good question - Ah, to be independently wealthy - alas, I'm not. As a way to bring in income, I decided to do something that I loved...I love buttons, learning about them, collecting them and sharing them with others. I also like other collectibles and occasionally sell them, too. With hubby going back to graduate school (in his 50s, how time flies when you are having fun) for the next three years I am the sole support of the family, so my eBay business is not just a hobby but a necessity. Thus, I buy as many buttons as I can find, anywhere I can find them and resell them. Yes, some of them join my private collection, but I don't have unlimited space in my home (or unlimited funds, more's the pity) nor do I collect every type of button, so I sell some lovely examples that I know others will enjoy.
Q. You used to have a cat at the bottom of your listings. What kind is she?
A. Her name is Kalinka, and she's a Lynx Point Javanese (sort of a long hair Siamese)and a sweetie.
