If you are currently living outside the Philippines and you want to constantly stay in touch with your loved ones and relatives in the Philippines. The best option is to have a Philippine Roaming SIM Card, using a Philippine Roaming SIM Card allows you to receive SMS message [TXT] from the Philippines for free. You will also have a Philippine based prepaid account, a Philippine mobile number, meaning anybody from the Philippines will only have to pay 1.00 PHP for every SMS message send to your Roaming SIM.

GLOBE PREPAID ROAMING SIM Card

This is the only Philippine roaming SIM that has VOICE service enabled during roaming, outgoing calls cost  80.00 PHP to 100.00 PHP per minute [depending on your location] and 50.00 PHP per minute for incoming calls, SMS cost 25.00 PHP per send and receiving SMS is free.

A minimum 100.00 PHP load is required as a daily maintaining balance for their roaming service, once below the threshold; the service will be deactivated within 24 hours. & you’ll need to call Globe's Roaming Hotline to request for service reactivation.

You can reload this SIM with Globe’s Autoloadmax or GLOBE’s Prepaid Call & TXT Card, Autoloadmax load is cheaper but has shorter expiry [18 days only] while Call Cards cost more but has longer expiry [60 days].

SMART PREPAID ROAMING SIM Card

SMS cost 20.00 PHP per send and receiving one is free, voice service are all disabled while the SIM is on roaming mode.

To avoid service disruption, you need to maintain some Peso balance [At least 20.00 PHP], you also need to reload this SIM [once every 30 or 60 days] to avoid permanent account expiry.

You need to reload this SIM with a SMART BUDDY electronic load or eload as reloading using a prepaid pins cost 20.00 per reload
