![]() My beloved CH Jacglen's LINDSAY O'Mystigael 6-7-87 to 8-27-99... WELCOME! *Most* of what I have up for auction (when I have treasures up for auction) have to do with the Scottish Terrier. In the past 25 years since I got my first Scottie, I have become immersed in everything having to do with them. FOR THE LOVE OF A DOG... When looking to buy a dog, please remember to research dogs in general via www.akc.org website. You want to make sure the dog you think "looks nice" is really what you want to live with for the next 10+ years. Just like Scotties are not for everyone, no dog is for just anyone, so choose your next best friend wisely. They are our fellow beings and deserve to be treated with respect and love. Scottish Terriers (Scotties) can be stubborn, obstinate, bossy, yet loving and loyal. The Bitches (females) generally are more aloof, the Dogs (males) are generally pretty "kissyface"; although both make loving pets if you take the time to understand them (or any breed you may be interested in). When considering breeding: please make sure to know the health background of the dogs involved for at least 3 generations, have the necessary blood tests done for that particular breed (like vonWilldebrands Disease (vWD) for Scotties - and about 60 other breeds), have a vet on standby incase you need a C-Section, and read all you can on the whelping and rearing of puppies as you will spend at least 12 weeks taking care of these wonderful beings called puppies. Having a mentor in your breed is truly very valuable for you, the mentor and your dog. Favorite Links Scottish Terrier Club of California Scottish Terrier Club of America American Kennel Club |
