Hi and welcome!

My name is Babs and jack83108 is a luck charm. It is the name of my Chihuahua! (and his birthday!) I am a jewelry designer who has been making jewelry for many years in my home studio outside of Philadelphia. Everything is made personally by me and my little business is called Babs Originals. I love jewelry...I love to design and create jewelry!! I am greatful for Ebay to have the opportunity to get my creations out into the world for you. I think all woman are gorgeous and wearing jewelry lets them show even more of their personality! I make many kinds of charms when I am creating. Here are some of them.... 

WIRE DESIGNS!!!

I love working  with WIRE!!! My wire designs are out of this world and has to be my favorite!!! You will NOT go wrong in choosing to bid on an auction with a wire designed pair of earrings or a Buy It Now designed set! The colors are crazy and so eye catching I cannot stress enough of how many compliments you will get. Look through my feedback of some personal designs. I have worked with wire for at least 20 years in my 'day' job and carry it over into my jewelry making. 

WOOD CHARM MAKING

My husband made the first charm from a bit of oak and burgandy dyed hardwood and gave it to me for Valentines Day. I wired it, put that charm on on a piece of silk cord and still wear it today!!! 

I could not believe the color that came out of that original slab of wood. Of course I took it from there and fell in love with all of the colors and started making charm after charm. A lot of work goes into each piece. I first draw a shape freehand and then rubber-cement it onto the slab of wood. I then use a jigsaw to cut out the shape. From there it is ground down on a sanding belt to make its curves and give it its final shape. As for earrings....yes, each piece is cut the same way and I work on getting each earring to match without loosing a finger tip! Then it is all hand sanding with many grits of sandpaper and a lot of smoothing. The piece has to be smoothed of any scratches and as I get to perfection....that is when the color starts really showing. When I am finished with the hand sanding, I buff the charms on a buffing wheel and that is when the finished piece emerges! Such beautiful colors.

BEADING

Besides my wood carved charms, I also have always had a love of beading. So in addition, I make MANY stylish beaded earrings, bracelets and necklaces. I look for any special beads I see and put different combinations tgether when designing each item. I use quality beads and findings to make sure you will have a beautiful piece of jewelry. Wiring is also a love of mine, so I make an effort to add in any beautiful handwiring whenever I can.

CLAY PENDANTS & CHARMS

My clay pendants and charms are hand designed by me. They are then baked and wired into beautiful one of a kind necklaces, chokers, brooches or earrings. The larger pieces are signed, dated and numbered. Find the one that fits your mood or matches your personality. I also handpaint designs onto the clay pieces. These are free-hand and I do not use stencils.

HANDBAGS

Lastly, I have designed a few handbags where I have incorporated many neat things. All are from my own pattern. I also make crocheted wool bags which are boiled to make beautiful, boiled wool, felt bags.

PERSONAL DESIGNS

I will take custom orders for custom wire designs. I will work with you to create a favorite color or design shape. Just email me and we will be on our way! Please give me a bit of notice to fill your order. I don't ask for much notice because I LOVE custom jobs!!!! Keep me in mind for the holidays! :o)

SHIPPING AND HANDLING

I pride myself on carefully packing the piece of art you have purchased. All are personally wrapped and packaged. I mail next day after I receive your payment so you get your purchase fast! I have made my shipping a set fee for each weekly auction, so you can shop away without shipping fees adding up. You will automatically know how much shipping will always be. This shipping fee is for each weekly auction. The next week starts a whole new cycle.

Shipping for Buy It Now's are not in my shipping promotion but I will work with you if you purchase on Sunday along with other auction items. These Buy It Nows come gift boxed for your convenience and I do take the time to give you insurance on larger orders on my behalf in with the shippping and handling charge of $2.75 that you are paying.

PAYMENT

Paypal is my choice of payment. It is the fastest for you and me and very reliable. PLEASE pay within 5 days of the close of an auction. It just allows me to keep my jewelry making going for you and also gets you the good prices as you have come to enjoy.

FEEDBACK

I respond right away to leave you feedback as soon as you make payment. I REALLY pride myself on the things that I make and if you are not satisfied PLEASE email me so we can arrange a return. Negative feedback is hurtful especially if you are not contacted first. Sometimes colors in items might be a little lighter or darker in the picture because that is the hard part, and when you get the item it doesn't work for you. So please email me. I in turn hope to see feedback showing how satisfied you are at your purchase.
