About Jack Farm
Who & where is Jack Farm Crafts, Etc.?
My name is Ernie, my wife Linda & I live in the small rural community of Townsend Montana. Townsend has a population of 2,000 & is in the Upper Missouri River Valley; 32 miles SE of Helena, the capital of Montana. My wife is a native of Montana & I have lived in Montana for 42 wonderful years as of 2004. The name Jack Farm came from the location of the property where we live-on Jack Farm Road. Our home is on property that was once used by the United States Government to raise & train mules for use in the early park systems of Yellowstone, Glacier, Grand Teton & Yosemite National Parks & possibly World War 1.
What is Jack Farm Crafts, Etc.?
We are a real Made in Montana store with 98% of our Hand Made products actually crafted by Montana craftspeople. Our store showcases 60 to 70 different craftspeople at any given time from around the state. We are very selective as to what products we sell as we have a reputation for only selling very high quality, hand made merchandise. Many craftsmen have chosen our store as their only outlet in Montana because of the quality & variety that we offer to the consumer.
We specialize in gifts for any occasion, as well as home & office furnishings. Many of our items are one-of-a-kind, so if you see something you like, remember there may only be one.
When was Jack Farm Crafts, Etc. established?
In October of 1996 I was forced to sell my trucking business due to medical problems. My wife, being an avid crafter, had always wanted a craft store & the idea to start Jack Farm Crafts, Etc. was spawned. Linda is looking forward to retirement in 2007 so she can become more involved in the store [by that I believe she means craft full time].
July 25, 2008 Update
We have sold our storefront and are in the process of moving everything home. The only changes this will mean for the majority of our customers are we will have a new phone number and mailing address. For those of you that saved shipping by picking up your items at our store may continue to do the same, except you will now pick up your items at our home store. Our new contact information is in our logo at the top of all pages. Because we list so many items it will take several months to update all of our listings with our new contact information. We also have a lot of new items and picture frame sizes to list in the comming months so please check back to our store offten. If you don't find the size of frame you want, email me to see if it is available.
