Hello all, my name is Jacob. I am a serious hobbyist woodworker who loves Shopsmith tools and equipment. Over the past 5 years working on ebay, I have become known as the independent Shopsmith expert in the country.
This process began when I inherited my father's 1962 anniversary model Mark V (a brownie). In restoring it and using it, I became hooked on the machines. I first used that particular Shopsmith as a pre-teen and had wanted one of my own, but lacked the space, time, and/or money for one until I inherited dad's. I bought parts and pieces for it, then began buying Shopsmith outfits locally to get parts I wanted. I sold off the extra pieces I didn't need here on ebay and over a 4 year period I bought and sold 64 outfits this way. Due to this process, I have owned just about everything Shopsmith has ever produced. I now use 2 Shopsmith's personally - a 520, and a 510 converted as a dedicated drill press bolted to the wall plus a host of dedicated machines in my 20x24 shop. In buying and selling so many machines and accessories, I learned how to tune them up and repair them as well. In June 2007, I decided to switch to repairs only and to get away from buying and selling outfits and parts. It is now May 2009 and I have repaired over 250 Mark V headstocks for customers on ebay. Plus I have repaired close to another 100 for local clients.
In my time on ebay, I have sold Shopsmith items and provided repair service to over 2,000 individuals so I have amassed a huge library of positive feedback. This should give you great confidence in dealing with me. Please take time to look over the feedback. I publish my private cell phone number in my ads and I am happy to answer questions for you. How many other sellers do this??? I keep shipping costs for you low and I repair items and ship promptly, because that is how I want to be treated when I buy on eBay. I ship two times a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays.
