I am John and the other "J" is my sister Jan. Hence the name. Clever huh? We search the known (and sometimes unknown) universe for great ads and other amazing stuff. Whether you grew up in the 60s or 70s like we did and want to relive those cool days by collecting some ads from those times. Or you just find these fun time pieces to be interesting and curious art for your wall or scrapbook.
We have many ads that would be of great value to a museum or any collection of cultural items.
Maybe you are a music memorabilia collector like myself. Or maybe you just love the history of advertising. Or you like antiques and older stuff like my sister Jan. We have something or several things for everyone! We have an ever changing inventory of 20, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and newer ads.
Even new ads from last week that are hard to track down without having to spend hours in book stores. We have ads from all categories including music, movies, cars, motorcycles, food, drink, cigarette and cigar, farm equipment, audio and video gear, video and computer games, jewelry, fashion and much much more!
A little more about Jan and I. Jan has been in the antique and collectibles business for many years. She is also a journalist and writer. So she knows a lot about what we are selling. As far as her antique knowledge, I think it takes one to know one! LOL ...Sorry Jan! I'm in control of the content here of our "about me page".
Ok... About me. As you already know my name is John. I have been a musician my whole life. I am one of those noisy drummer types! I also play and collect guitars. I just counted, and I have been in 14 bands. We have recorded a lot of music over the years. We still do! I have always been a music memorabilia collector.
I even have 99% of my concert ticket stubs. The concerts and shows that I have attended number in the hundreds somewhere. I have what I like to call my music museum here in my basement. There are instruments everywhere and the walls and shelves are full of ads, posters and music trinkets of all kinds. So you could say that I know my music history and always win at "Music Trivia Pursuit". LOL . We are always growing and always adding more ads and other stuff.
