Welcome to Jan's Bear Essentials. I hope you enjoy my store.  I carry everything I can find that relates to bears.  I have current and past Gund inventory, Gund Baby, Gund Signature Collections, Mohair Collections and all the Gundys.  I also have in stock way too many Apple Whimsey Bears, collectible bears and other furry creatures that "bear" mentioning.  I am constantly on the look-out for new merchandise, specialty items and old collectible bears. Obviously, my name is Jan.  The bear business is a labor of love stemming from a lifetime of collecting and living with teddy bears. I have spent many years not only collecting bears but making bears for gifts. This later developed into a business. I am always on the look-out for bear merchandise, bear decor and bear related items, which I will share with you.

I retired from my "real job" in February, 2009. I am now retired and able to spend all my time handling my bear business. I moved from Los Angeles to Grants Pass, Oregon and am starting to settle in.   I eventually will open a small retail shop next to my home in addition to my ebay store and website.
