Hello ... and Welcome to Jay's Stamps

My name is J Dennis III.
I reside in the state of Ohio and am the oldest of 11 children.
We lost our loving father John "Jay" Dennis Jr. after a brief illness and miss Him greatly.
Jay's Stamps was created in order to offer His stamps to fellow philatelists, worldwide.
A Little about our father "Jay"
He began his philatelic passion in the 1960's.
Throughout his life, Jay "gave" of himself to everyone and anyone in need.
He was a salesman at Sears Roebuck & Co. for 32 years and a Door Greeter at Miejer's for 12 years, which was perfect for him because he always had plenty to talk about. :)
Being an excellent conversationalist suited Him well, as he attended many, many stamp shows over the years and loved to meet and converse with all of his fellow philatelists.
Working and supporting a large family was a huge challenge and left Him without a lot of spare time to organize his 40+ year collection (explains all of the "repeats" that I have found as I am trying to sort everything out.)
One of the biggest smiles I'd ever seen on His face was when we asked Him about the Award He had won for His Complete and Unique "RattleSnake Island" Local Post Collection.
The Story behind these RattleSnake Island Stamps is Absolutely Fascinating!
Retirement was long sought after and finally achieved, as He would have the time He needed to pursue his philatelic dream, but it was short lived.
Before he left this world, He had expressed his desire to "offer his stamps to all philatelists worldwide".
Jay's Stamps was created to fulfill Jay's dream and has since created another fun and exciting hobby for myself.
I do not claim to be a stamp expert, so I do not grade stamps in my listings.
I do however use adjectives in my descriptions and when I do, they are of my own personal opinion.
That is why I take the time to scan or photograph the Actual Item for you to examine and decide it's value to you.
My APS number is available upon request.

I take my time and package your stamp items very Meticulously in for them to arrive
at their new home, safe and sound.
I use Real Postage for franking, NEVER a label. Your package is then personally
delivered to the Post Office to be Hand Canceled by my favorite Artists.
That is why I state in the auctions and store listings that there is a three day handling time.
I assure you that you will be Very Pleased when your order arrives.
We are Not in the business to profit from shipping and Handling charges.
Your items are shipped upon receipt of payment. There is NO Waiting period for Personal Checks or Postal money orders to clear.
If you don't see what you are looking for .. just ask! We might have it and will be more than happy to list it for you.

3. A packing slip is printed and enclosed,
4. Actual Postage will be applied --> We do Not use labels <--
5. They will be Personally Delivered to the Post Office for the postage to be Hand Canceled by my Favorite Artists.
6. Our 5* service takes a little longer than most, but we Guarantee you will be pleased when your order arrives!
