Among other things, I am a wife, mom and stepmom, zookeeper (3 cats and 2 dogs), homemaker, artist, writer, and abundant woman on a spiritual quest for balance in this chaotic world. Among my creative tools are the pen and page, the brush and the paints, the clay and the keyboard. Now and then, I return to another love performing with our local community theatres. I sing. I act. I try to dance.

My modest talent in the visual arts is fortified by the joy I feel while creating. I hope this shines through in my art, whether it is an ACEO/Art Card or collage or OSWOA, painting, miniature sculpture or angel pin/magnet, runes or hand-knitted scarves, or whatever finds its way out of my mind via my fingertips.

I was immersed in visual art during my teenage years, benefiting from a school system that promoted and supported all of the arts. I was actually able to take Art as a major subject (five days a week) during all four years of high school. I had private lessons for a while, some college graphics and design classes, and then drifted away from it as I got a job, got married, had a baby. My baby is now 15, and about four years ago, my two stepsons joined us full-time. At that point, we thought it best for me to stay home, and though the budget is tight, I know it was the best decision we could have made for our family. It also gave me the opportunity to rediscover the creative facet of myself that had been neglected for so long.

I love to work in a variety of mediums, have a passion for bright colors and a tendency toward whimsy. Watercolors, Acrylics, Prismacolor Markers and Pencils, and Pigma Micron Pens are my current favorites. I’ve also fallen in love with collage/mixed media art. Occasionally, my poetry or a short story will find its way into my visual art, or accompany that visual art on its journey to a new home.

I am an active member of several art groups on eBay including ACEO ~ Art Card Editions and Originals (where I am a moderator), OSWOA™ (which is a new one for me), Art Squared (Art2), ZNE (collage/mixed media) and others. These groups educate, share, support, encourage, challenge. It’s a great way to meet new friends from all over the world who share one’s passion for art and life.

My art appears in private collections in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia. It is exciting to send my art into the world, and it is my hope that something I create finds its way into your heart and home soon!
