Dawn is 50+ yrs old. She had been dabbling in art while working full time until a few yrs ago when health circumstances forced her to quit. She worked there for 25 yrs. Good thing, more time for art. Bad thing, less energy for art.
Her interests outside of art include dogs (Lhasa Apsos, A Germain Short Hair Pointer and Malamutes), birds (Cockateils, Burke and Scarlet Chested Graskeets, English and American Parakeets, and Finches), fish (Koi, Betta and Angel fish) and gardening. She is married to a wonderful man that puts up with her many devices.
She is primarily self taught, except for a one semester collage art class. She started drawing one of her passions, Lhasa Apsos (which she bred and showed for over 25 yrs), sand blasted them onto glass, ceramic, slate ect. She donated or sold them as trophies for her Lhasa Apso Club (TCLAC) and National Lhasa Apso Club. She moved on from there, doing some of the same designs as pyrography (wood burning) on dog brushes, canoe paddles ect. She is expanding her choice of subjects (wild animals, dogs, cats, birds, ect.) and mediums (color pencil, acrylic, graphite, ect.) offering them on eBay.
