What is a giclée?
A giclée (pronounced "zhee-CLAY") is an exact copy of the original watercolor created from high resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks onto fine art paper. Giclée prints are the finest graphic reproduction available today. At first glance, they are often difficult to tell from the original unless closely scrutinized.

Who makes the art prints you're selling?
The artist, Judith Stein, creates her own high-quality giclée prints. Each giclée is created and signed individually.. She controls every aspect of the image from its color to the paper it is printed on. Each print must meet her satisfaction before it is released.

 

How do you ship the art print?
Your art print is shipped flat in a sturdy envelope and insurance is included in the shipping price. Originals are shipped flat by Priority Mail with a tracking number and insurance is included.

Can my art print be framed?
Yes, the 8 x 10 prints will fit nicely in a standard 11 x 14 frame with a mat. This is a standard size frame and can be purchased anywhere picture frames are sold.

Can I send you a picture of my dog? Will the artist paint it?
You can email me photos of your dog and I will contact the artist. If the photo meets her criteria she will consider painting your dog from your photo. (Usually high-quality close-ups with good details are best.) If your photo is accepted, she requests a "photo release" so she can use the photo for commercial purposes. Contact me through eBay and I will give you my email address to send your picture.

I want a watercolor done of my dog. How much will it cost?

I like the image but can you change the eyes/background color, or add or remove something?
Art prints are not customizable. Judith creates and composes the artwork using the color and composition she feels is best. She will gladly accomodate requests such as these for commission work.

 

Can I pay with a personal check? I have really good feedback.
Unfortunately after December 31, 2008, I no longer accept personal checks. eBay has shown that unpaid auctions are higher from buyers who pay with personal checks. I have personally experienced the same problem. Money order will still be accepted.

I live in the Phoenix area. Can I pick this up locally?
Yes. Please email me prior to the end of the auction so arrangements can be made. I will make sure your invoice reflects your savings on shipment costs.

Can I make color copies of the art print?
No. Reproduction rights of artwork in whole or in part remain with the artist.

I just won an auction and want to buy another. Do you combine shipping?
Yes. Shipping discounts are offered for multiple purchases. You pay shipping for the first print only and all other prints in your order will ship for free.
