Hi! I wanted you to know that I will be on vacation from August 16 thru August 25th. I don't anticipate starting any auctions til I get back. Andy and I are going to the Bay Area in California.
Well, here I am, just retired 22 months ago, with a house full of stuff -- too much stuff, actually. I guess I must classify myself as a compulsive shopper. I just love 'stuff.' Bargain stuff is the best 'stuff'! I have had many memorable hours searching for those 'needed' bargains on eBay.
Plans have changed as I have changed. And now I have my house full of 'stuff.' I have prep stuff for 12 million projects that I finally realized Il never get to. I remember a George Carlin monologue about 'stuff.' Since there is no longer room to walk a straight path anywhere in the house, I've decided that it is time to become a Compulsive Seller. I'm cleaning out nooks, crannies, closets, bookshelves, and clearing floorspace (sometimes by filling those nooks, crannies, closets, and bookshelves that Ie just cleared out.
My kid -- Andy -- is also a compulsive shopper and collector. Between the two of us, we'll have lots and lots of stuff to sell. You'll see him referenced in a lot of the auctions that I have listed. He's only 8 now but reads higher level books and is turned off by things that are for 'little kids' as he calls them.
My goal is to have a place for everything in my house. I don want to have to vacuum around anything except furniture. I want to be able to see my floor again. When I am finished with the house, Il start on the garage. And then move on to the store room.
This is all very sad as I had great plans for this tuff. However, I like the part that the money is coming in. Itl help pay off my credit card bills! Il also save money when I finally get rid of the storeroom. And, maybe Il like the selling so much that Il open a real eBay store so I can make some money.
I hope that buyers will assist me to learn to be a good seller. I am sure that I will make many mistakes in the learning process. Hopefully I will learn, though. I am usually capable of learning from my mistakes.
