Miniature Marbles Hand Crafted by J. R. Hooper
A big Thanks to all the glass and marbles collectors who have made it possible for me to bring these miniatures to the Ebay market, without the support of my customers, these miniatures would not be possible (or I would starve to death :-) ) I hope you enjoy them, and thanks for everything! |

I Finally Got A Website in the Works... Please Feel Free to drop by http://www.miniaturemarbles.com and say Howdy!
I decided to do a Frequently Asked Questions Section for my Miniatures. If you don't find what you're looking for here, feel free to drop me an email, I usually will respond within a day or so.
Q: Can I buy a Large Quantity of these from you? A: Believe it or not, I make these tiny marbles "One Off", or literally one at a time. Making them is a tedious process and I post them on Ebay as I make them so there isn't a large quantity of them at any given time. I have made sets of 100 before, if that's something that interests you just email me.
Q: I've never heard of Miniature Marbles? Are these "Pee Wees"? A: Miniature Marbles are Pretty Rare, I have only found three or four other glass artists who still make them by hand, and no my miniatures are quite a bit smaller than the "Pee Wee" Marbles.
Q: What Size are they? A: They can vary in size a bit but generally average between 2mm and 3mm.
Q: What Colors do you have? A: It totally depends on what colors I have in stock, I am at the mercy of the market but I try to keep as much of a variety as I can. If there's a particular color you would be interested in just ask!
Q: Do you Ship Internationally? A: Yes I do, I usually Charge a Flat Rate of $3.00us, I'll ship pretty much anywhere.
Q: Do you Combine Shipping? A: Yes if you win multiple Auctions, I will be glad to combine shipping on all your items that end within a few days of each other.
Q: Do you offer Shipping Insurance? A: I don't offer any Insurance unless you insist on it, so far in over 700 Ebay transactions, I have only had two packages not make it and I promptly replaced them. If you want them insured though and don't mind paying the extra buck or so, We'll be glad to insure them.
Q: How are they shipped? A: Your Miniatures will be placed into a small ziplock bag and shipped in a good layer of Bubble Wrap and placed in a Bubble Wrap Cushioned Mailer.
Q: How long will it take to get my marbles? A: We ship pretty fast, we generally get to the post office about three times a week, I'd allow about two weeks but it's usually alot quicker than that. If you don't get them by then let me know!
Q: Refunds? A: I do not offer refunds unless something is wrong with the marbles. This may bother some, but this is my paycheck, and it's what I do for a living... I support a family on my income. But I am an artist and I want you to be happy with my marbles. If you get a set and just absolutely can't abide them, I would much rather exchange them for another set. So far I have 100% Positive Feedback, so I'm not out to get you :-)
Q: Who is the Artist? A: J. R. Hooper is Me :-) I have been melting glass for about 10 years now. I also do some Acting, but unless you follow Independent Film, you probably haven't heard of me. No, I'm not famous yet... Yet...
Q: How do you make them? A: It's kind of a trade secret I was taught, and will probably only be passing along to my children.
Q: I got more or less marbles in my set? A: Yes you did, I don't actually count them, and they vary in size, hence the @ on most of my listings... I do make sure every jar is full though :-)
Q: Do you make larger marbles or other glass art? A: Yes I have from time to time offered Larger Marbles and Glass Beads, but the demand for these rare minis has kept me busy making them pretty much exclusively. I enjoy the challenge of working on such a small scale. As long as they keep selling, I'll keep making them.
Q: Are the Custard and Vaseline Miniatures Dangerous? A: No, they are slightly radioactive, but well within safe exposure limits. Custard and Vaseline Glass are fairly rare collectors items, but the Uranium Content of those Miniatures are so low, you probably get more exposure from your neighbor's microwave oven.
