We are located in Duluth, Minnesota at the tip of Lake Superior. Our geographic location is one of the prime areas for hunting and collecting Lake Superior Agates. We are avid 'Rock Hounds' and enthusiastically make our rounds to our area gravel pits, roads, and Lake Shore to find our treasures from the earth.
Why the name, jgspanglers? The J is for Jennifer, and the G is for Gary. 'Spanglers' is an expression that was used by my Dad the late 'George Flaim'. Dad was an Agate Master and one of Minnesota's premiere collectors. When he would get his hands around a good specimen, he would say, "It's a Spangler"! Dad may no longer be with us, but his stories, knowledge, and passion lives on with us and many others that knew him well. | |

We're very proud of our Lake Superior Agates. They are the Oldest Agates in the World and our Minnesota State Gem. The agates that we offer are all good quality stones that have been professionally cleaned and oiled. Don’t be fooled by agates that are shown in water. The water magnifies the size and patterns while hiding fractures. Oil doesn’t do either. All Lakers were formed at the same time, therefore there is no such thing as Old Stock. As far as value, it matters not whether any agate was found back in 1970 or yesterday. Take a look at what we have to offer at fair retail prices with excellent combined shipping rates.
