Hello there, My name is John. I started collecting coins in the early '70's going through my Dad's cash register at the restaurant after closing. I would pay him face value for all the silver and better date nickels and cents I could find. Eventually I started buying a few things from the dealers in the hobby papers and setting up at local coin shows. The nicest coin I owned at that time was an 1863 Indian Head cent transitional pattern struck on the thin bronze planchet eventually adopted in 1864. I ended up selling my coins to help finance my college education (B.A. in History and Fine Arts) and lost interest in coins until 1995. I had gone to an estate auction and bought 4 Canadian silver dollars for $2 each and was hooked again.

Why I buy and sell coins
The fun part of coins for me is buying and selling. I also enjoy looking at a coin and imagining where it might have been, what it's paid for in it's day and how some coins are as nice as the day they left the mint and others are almost hard to recognize as a coin. eBay is my primary selling site and I'm here for the long haul. I don't use this as a place to 'dump' unwanted inventory. I hope that you'll visit my auctions.
