The Many Worlds of Jhood
Welcome to my page on e-bay and a bit about my life here at my home in the Tennesse Mountains that I have named Colleywobble House. Several years ago, in a newspaper article covering a solo exhibit of my paintings, the reporter asked me about my interests, hobbies and passtimes. An hour later, it was clear to him that he had opened a bottomless box. I am one of those lucky people who has never known the word boredom. Each day is a opportunity to discover something new, or to learn more about something already familiar. Time is my enemy and there just are not enough hours in a day to follow all of my myriad interests. The world is my classroom, and I soak up it's knowledge greedily. If I have to name a singular passion, it would be for art. I am a painter. I am convinced the universe has planned it this way. In this same vein, I use my home and my surrounds like a canvas. From interior decor to displaying my ever growing collection of treasures, my environment is a constantly evolving three dimensional work of art.

Bargain hound and tchotchke-chaser extraordinaire
In August of 2001, USA Today asked for readers to submit information regarding the Hwy 127 Corridor Sale, a giant 450 mile yard sale that snakes through KY, TN and AL. When I sent in my e-mail, little did I know that I would soon be the subject of a two-page feature issue in their Living section. When I hit the road and spent a day shopping with Maria Puente, Staff writer for USA Today, we had a deligtful time and she gave me the title above in the article as it appeared in the paper. The article started a series of other exciting projects including a TV segement on my collections in a special broadcast on HGTV called "The Endless Yard Sale" Since the only thing I've really ever wanted to be is an artist, it feels very strange to suddenly be receiving national coverage for my prowess as a Yard Sale divvy. I collect Art pottery including McCoy, Haeger, Italian and West German & others. I also have shelves of Blenko Glass, Japanese Hakata Urasaki and Sato figurines, American Indian pottery, especially Ute, Acoma, and Navajo, African carvings and masks from the Kota peoples of Gabon and the Dogon of Mali, paintings and sculpture, Eames era furnishings, Retro modern lamps and interior decor, among other wonderful things.
