Hello, folks!
When it comes to books, Marshell is your woman. She loves books, and has always collected them. So, this will be her "spot".....
Hi everyone! My name is Marshell Baumgarner Russell. I am 49 years young. (9-18-'59). I am the mother of two, and a Nana:>)
I love my family and friends. We live in East Liverpool Ohio; a small city on the Ohio River. We are surrounded by the hills of West Virginia, and Pa. ELO is part of the Appellation Mountain Range.
When I was about 10 years old, I began to read in earnest. I loved Trixie Belden Mysteries. But, I'd read just about anything.
My dad took me to an auction house that a friend of ours owned. I needed a place to store my growing collection of books. I picked out an old buffet! (Which I still have by the way.)
I filled that buffet with a great variety of books through the years. Some of them I kept, some I gave as gifts; still others I wore out reading!
Old books are my favorites. The smell, the look, the inscription of peoples names, all send me on an inner journey through time and space; it's almost as good as reading!
I also enjoy old glass, pottery, and (of course) toys; you know, the things from my past. I remember my grandma collected cup and saucers. I absolutely loved going shopping for her birthday, Mother's Day, and any "gift" day. I knew without a doubt I'd find her something she would cherish.
My mom liked glass and pottery; my dad loved antiques. He had a friend who owned a shop in Wellsville, Ohio....Lee Crook was his name. Funny name for an antique dealer. But Lee was not a crook. I adored that man. He had so much patience when it came to answering my questions. Dads rule was seen and not heard...EXCEPT when we where at Lee's shop. Of course, he was Mr. Crook to me!
Now, Jimmy will tell you straight up he does not read...TV is his form of entertainment. That's fine with me, I get ALL the books!
As you brows or auction(s), keep in mind we are just a question away. Need to know something? Please use the ask the seller a question button, I'll be sure to answer.
