About Shayne

I retired from the US Air Force in August 2005 after 21+ years of service as a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Specialist.  My father is also retired USAF, so I've been 'in the service' since I was born.  I've been around the world a few times.  At the age of 40, the magic point had been reached:  I had spent the same amount of time in foriegn lands as I had in my own country.

I've been a resident of the Great State of Florida, born at the now-Orlando International Airport.  My last assignment was Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, from where I retired.  I now reside with my wife and son in Bradenton, FL.  If you're down this way and see THE white Ford Pinto hatchback tooling around, give me a honk!
