| Hi! I'm Kiva Atkinson, creator of unusual dollhouse miniatures. I make a wide variety of things, including exotic fruits and vegetables, seafood, and "bottle babies" (little creatures in jars). I have also recently been into creating tiny shadowbox scenes (underwater sea creatures, forest critters, etc.),scenes with little mice, and occasionally the Hand in the Box! My mother is an expert woodworker (among other things) and handcrafts all of my crates, tables, and banana hangers, and most of my baskets. In April of 2005, I had an article of my work published in the American Miniaturist magazine, written by the wonderful Martha Puff and photographed by her talented son Michael. Since then, my work has appeared in Dollhouse Miniatures and Dolls House and Miniature Scene in the U.K. You can take a look at more pics like the ones in my website: http://www.kivasminiatures.com/. |
