The Lortz-Leavitt Family

Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to get some background info on who we are. My name is John, but let me introduce you to the family. Sue and I are computer nerds who spend our time teaching senior citizens how to use computers, working at an Omaha, Nebraska-based non-profit organizatoin called the Senior Health Foundation. They've been teaching and developing computer educational materials for SHF since 1995, and just love it. We both have our Masters degrees in Computers in Education, and also teach at a local 4-year college. In our spare time, we work as freelance writers for Smart Computing and PC Today magazines.

Jack, the youngest family member at 4 1/2, is just starting to work with computers, but is showing signs that he will follow in mom and dad's footsteps. For other entertainment, Jack loves baseball (we are all big St. Louis Cardinal fans), football (anything "ball" really), but is also happy playing one of his many musical instruments, coloring, or just curled up with a book.

We've been up on eBay with this ID (jlortz) since 1998, but we've been eBay members almost since the beginning. Lately, we've turned to eBay as a way to pass-along some of the household items we no longer use, but also to help suppliment Jack's college fund.
