Some info on how Villeroy & Boch glazes their items:

V&B glazes their plates by using a prong to hold the plate /rim soup in the 10:00 and 2:00 position.  On some plates and/or rim soups, the glaze doesn't cover where the prong held the item.  Villeroy & Boch does not consider it a defect or a second.  It is part of their firing process.  I have been finding that people notice this missing glaze more so because they purchase the item on eBay but once they check the rest of their plates, they notice the missing glaze marks as well.

Terms of Sale

I strongly encourage all bidders to please read my descriptions very carefully.  I always obtain first quality items which are brand new and free from any defects; however, sometimes I do obtain items that might have a minor flaw.  I always describe the flaw as accurately as possible and encourage bidders to inquire about the flaw.  Therefore, all items that I sell are sold are AS IS, With regard to returns, In the rare event that a mistake was made in the description, as long as you contact me within 5 days of receiving the item, a refund will be issued upon receipt and inspection of item (in same condition sent). Items are marked with invisible ink and marks are checked prior to refunds. Shipping, handling and insurance fees are not refundable, why? Because if you bought from a store or another online /catalog, you would have to pay to return it or drive it back to the store to take the item back, wouldn't you?

 I use a variety of bubble wrap and styrofoam peanuts to ensure a safe shipment of items. 

 Please also note that I do combine items from my ending auctions to save the high bidder money on shipping charges.  I only combine items for auctions ending the same week. 

I only ship to the US via UPS Ground to the 48 states and USPS Priority Mail to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
