Having been an active collector of Seiko chronographs for over thirty years, it seems I have amassed many hundreds of genuine Seiko parts and such. With a huge inventory of both NOS and used material, my shop looks as if the Seiko Parts Department had a small explosion. I am also manufacturing several discontinued and otherwise unobtainable items which you will find among my eBay listings and in my eBay store.
In addition to marketing vintage and new replacement parts and material, I am now offering to my customers refinishing service for their vintage Seiko timepieces. This does not include service to the movement, however. My restorations, see photos, entail the refinishing of case and bracelet to a condition as close to new as possible. Available with refinishing are NOS crystals (when possible), replacement crystals and NOS gaskets (when possible) with lube.
Restoration service cost is determined by estimate on an individual basis. Somtimes, however, it is not possible to restore a watch to next to new condition. If this is the case I will advise my customer and give an honest opinion on how well the work can be done, if at all.
Many recent refinishing projects can be seen at:

My auction descriptions are purposfully short and to the point, always accurate and truthful, sometimes rather blunt. When viewing timepiece auctions, please be aware that currency, not watches or anything else for that matter, comes from a mint. Hand in hand with this thought is that 'minty' is a flavor not a quality of a fine timepiece. Also, flowery, overly worded descriptions belong with cute figurines and such. Too many words=too much to hide or too little knowledge.
I believe my Seller's Policies are fair and I never gouge on postage. Too many eBay sellers are making huge amounts of money by over-charging on postage and 'handling'. Also, anyone who tries to elicit a surcharge for using PayPal is breaking both eBay and PayPal policy. Postage and payment services are part of the cost of doing business. Fairness to the customer is the most important of the many keys to success.
eBay is an opportunity for all to buy and sell and make new friends the world over. It has been, with but two exceptions, a wonderful, enriching experience for me and, I hope, for my many customers worldwide to whom I give many, many thanks. Especially, my numerous repeat customers.
I learn something new with nearly every transaction and have provided my many eBay friends with a bit of knowledge, a lot of opinion and many, many parts and whole watches. If I don't have something, I may know where to get it and always enjoy the challenge of chasing down parts. |
