From 2000, he started selling his OOAK dolls and joined many international doll makeover contest, in 2000-2002, Joe received 5 BMASS first places ( including one Reader’s Choice of the year) and one third place. With all those awards and all the supports of his fans, Joe decided to design his own brand name dolls, for this reason he moved to southern China.

In 2002, Joe Tai hired some sculptor and vendor to produce the popular transparent platform fashion shoes for Gene, and handmade them and sold them on eBay in 2003, it was a blast! And then Joe Tai moved to China, from finding vendors in the very first beginning to produce his items, building up his own studio to produce everything he designs like shoes, boots, fashions, accessories and wigs to producing our own 12" Ingrid and 16" Jo, we will keep working on satisfying our customers and offering more variety of our products and fun.

These recent years we have improved so much on our technique and skill on producing shoes and fashions, we even invented many new products. For the latest example : our 2009 summer collection of fashion shoes, we are the first one who can narrow the tiny zipper to such small size, it requires 18 different procedures to achieve. And 7 years ago, Joe Tai was also the first one who could produce such crystal clear Polyresin shoes, even now no one can achieve, for now, we are also the only one who can cut all the shoe strap to only 1mm for our fashion shoes. For fashions, we also have the best tech and skill. And for some replicated fashions from some Oscar gowns, you can find tons of them in the market, however, we are very proud to say that we are the best! It's because we have the best skilled team and best experience.

After so many years, Joe Tai has been the most famous and professional seller and maker in doll accessory market. Not only one but many customers called us Manolo Blahnik in dolly world, we are thankful for this compliment, but the truth is that Joe Tai is really the leader in this market. We have calculated that there are more than ten people who own more than 100 pairs of Joe Tai shoes or boots, and hundreds of our customers own more than 30 pairs of our shoes or boots.
