Hmm, that's me... john4138 aka Pd_Blues

 

I better start at the beginning, I guess. I have been on eBay now almost 10 years. Sold a bunch on and off. Now looking to carry on with Online Hobby Sales, but will carry everything I find worth presenting to all of you out there from Toys to Jewels.

A little bit about me... born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Yes it's more than just the name of a bridge. Lived within walking distance of Ebbets Field, home of our beloved Brooklyn Dodgers 1955 World Champions. Spent summers cheering them on and swimming at PS89, Riis Park, and Manhattan Beach. Jan.'68 - Dec.'70 in the USMC. Returned to New York, husband to Lois and father to Tommy. Went on the Police Department (New York City TRANSIT) Oct. 73. Retired in 1987 after getting hurt in 1983. We moved to Northeast Pennsylvania. Worked most all! Then November 2002 when I was hit by an auto while working as a Security Supervisor and EMT for a large resort. Seven operations,  2 new knees, and a left ankle with two screws and silicate plugs in it after several surgeries, Thanks Dr. Paul Juliano!!! Despite it all I'm still breathing, hurting and hobbling along but I thank God for all! Life is still good!

Lo, my wife, and I have been to Bosnia Hercogovina from after the war in 1996 to 2005. Sweet country and the good people (Croatians). Hope to someday go back and see friends and such! Also want to travel throughout the Western European countries, so much to see. I'd love to go back to Italy and revisit the Vatican and other places But when all is said and done, I want to come home... "GOD BLESS AMERICA and watch over out Troops through out the world!!!.
