About My Inspirations
I've been a artist all of my life, working in all traditional media, with works ranging in size from miniature panels to large-scale murals.
My inspirations are Rembrandt, Warhol, Oldenburg and Bierstadt, to name a few. I love Pop Art and the Renaissance equally but for different reasons. Each has something to say. So, as you might guess, my “style” is hard to categorize because I do a wide variety of subjects and suit my approach to each one.
My favorite subjects are (in no particular order) exotic wildlife and domestic animals, landscapes, beachscapes, seascapes, still lifes, military aviation, marine life, religion and mythology.... and food!
Food is a very academic subject - nothing profound, but it's a great way to take a breather from heavier pursuits. My favorite food subjects are fruits and vegetables, pastries, ice cream and bread - anything with good textural and reflective qualities.
I range between realism and expressionism. But, some common denominators always present in my works are color, contrast and luminosity. I find that “switching up” styles and subjects keeps me fresh and inspired with a simple love for the visual experience.
I earned a BFA in Fine Art from Valdosta State University while I was stationed in Georgia with the U.S. Air Force. I used my artistic skills in audiovisual production and documentary photography and in the realm of print communications as well. I’ve done much volunteer work on plays and stage productions.
About My Store
Treehouse Artworks will eventually be organized according to subject matter, with each section containing relevant works of all mediums and prices. For now, everything is original work, but I will begin to offer prints of selected work in the near future.

My Vision as an Artist
The visual world is incredible to me. Creation is a banquet of rare wonders reflecting amazing patterns and rhythms, colors and structures. There is so much to paint that has never been painted! I want to portray the visual world we take for granted or don’t often experience; things we rarely, if ever, see. I want to the viewer to look at my paintings and appreciate just how much there is to see in this marvelous world of ours.
