About Me
Well, thank you so much for stopping by to learn about me. I started selling on ebay three years ago after I decided to leave my full time job as a biologist to stay at home with my 3 children. I started off selling women’s designer clothes, as I always loved fashion. It quickly became clear to me that selling on ebay was a tough job requiring lots of hard work, competition and perseverance, not unlike the job in science. The market was flooded with competing products so I knew I had to make my auction listings stand out. This is when I started looking for attractive yet affordable auction templates. I was not fully satisfied with the price and design of the auction templates that were available on the market at the time. So I decided to make my own. This, too, proved to be a tough work. I ended up spending hours, days and months trying to figure out HTML and how everything worked on ebay. I have to admit, there were times when I was about to give up but my love for art and graphics sustained me through. For instance, I spent almost a week on creating my very first template. But I can tell you for sure that practice and experience make things much easier. Today as I have built over 50 different designs for you to choose from, I keep in mind my own wishes I had as a seller and strive to make my templates fresh, original and yet affordable (all my templates are under $10).
But anyway, I really appreciate you stopping by! I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge how you, my customers, are so important to me on so many different levels, both personal and professional. It is amazing how many valuable business and life skills, which weren't taught in college, I learned here on ebay as a result of interacting with my customers. Graphic design unlike most other businesses, is a truly 100% personal venue. It is because the design comes from the heart! Some tips for new sellers
Choose a product that you are passionate about. Your passion will see you through ups and downs of business world.
Choose products that you actually would want for yourself! (Typically well known name brands sell better – because customers feel that they know what to expect)
Take a break, go on a vacation but never ever give up! Keep at it no matter how slow your business is. Consistency is the key.
INVEST IN A GOOD CAMERA!
INVEST IN A GOOD AUCTION TEMPLATE and PRETTY STOREFRONT that will help you stand out!
When listing an item for sale – place as many photos as possible and give an exciting yet accurate description of the product.
Make sure your customers are getting their moneys worth and more!
