The Story of Our Name
I think back to my childhood when I felt the happiest, and one thing stands out in my mind, a fishing trip to northern Maine. There was a place miles back in the woods with a wide-open field of long grass, and a beautiful stream winding through it. My father took me there and taught me how to fly fish. That spot was known as Lane Brook Meadows, and it created some of my fondest memories.
Why Lane Brook Unlimited Started
Lane Brook Unlimited is my way to make a difference. I lost my father to brain cancer in 1990. It has been my hope that someday I would start a business, which would allow me to financially contribute to the fight against brain cancer. Lane Brook Unlimited has provided me this opportunity. We donate a percentage of every transaction to brain cancer research, in hopes that someday we can eliminate this menacing disease.
How Lane Brook Unlimited Started
I am a PGA golf professional by trade, but an entrepreneur by heart. I became an Ebay junkie about three years ago, selling everything I could get my hands on. It was so successful I decided to try it at work. I began moving excess inventory, and items that people traded towards new equipment. This became an excellent marketing tool for the pro shop, which created a lot of new business.
I thought if this was so helpful to me, maybe I could help others achieve the same satisfaction. So, my entrepreneurial drive guided me to start a business that offers consignment services to people and businesses. In addition, our services are excellent for fundraising events.
