I started creating my own costumes after being disappointed with the selection and prices at Renaissance Faires and on Auction sites. I had tried to buy a few pieces from other sellers over the years, but I was never satisfied with the quality of the materials or the "cut" of the gowns. They never seemed to be "historically accurate" and made more like costumes than garb. So, I've begun to slowly sell some of my items outside my circle of friends. Please take a look. If you don't see what you like, please email me at JubileeL@excite.com and I will start a custom auction just for you!
Meanie Ebay Stuff: As a rule, I do not leave feedback for those that send me emails asking for feedback. Feedback is completely voluntary. I consider such emails as blackmail in a way. I would never ask/demand feedback from any seller or buyer and I do not do business with such people that are so rude as to demand/ask a voluntary action to be done of me. Those that think this is mean, evil, or just bad, I suggest you check out the feedback board under the community tab. :-)
The doggie in the picture above is Miss Ginsie. She's a three year old Cavalier King Charles/Cocker Spaniel mix. I got her in Corinth Mississippi when she was 18 months old. I'm actually her fourth owner!
Her first owner abused her. She still has a broken rib that never healed properly on one side. She was found by a milkman who loved to take in strays. He kept her as an indoor dog and she was doing well until he died of a heart attack.
Due to Ginsie's behavior whenever anyone lies down to take a nap on the couch, I believe she actually saw the milkman die. She use to pounce you on the chest and lick your face until you sat up. Now, she still lies down on your chest, but with her head over your heart.
She, along with 20 other dogs, was given up to the local animal shelter. Ginsie was quickly adopted out, but returned after one week, I'm told, due to her health. She had heartworms. Not only that, but I believe this family also abused her. She is terrified of anyone other than me or her "grandma" touching her tail. She is particualur scared of small boys. She perfectly fine around kids (my 17 month old cousin was over and she behaved) now, but it took a while to keep her from running away and crying.
She also had a cigerette burn on one paw and another burn on the other paw when I got her. She was scared but still very very friendly. That was almost two years ago. Now, she is the happiest puppy and loves to model for me.
You will see her modeling some of the hats, or sitting near some of the gowns for me. She loves to be hugged and her favorite toy is her "pet" squirel. Everyone comments on how sweet she is and how easy going the pup seems now. Ginsie has even been known to run up to "greet" our neighbors and they simply adore her!
