Hello and welcome to my 'about me' page
First of all, let me begin by saying that I've really enjoyed participating within eBay land for over seven years now. I'm also happy to say that the majority of my transactions have been extremely pleasant experiences. eBay has allowed me to locate and obtain some very hard-to-find items which I had been searching for, has provided me the opportunity to make a few extra dollars, and has also allowed me to make many new acquaintances. Oh BTW, although my feedback profile does not reflect it - thanks to nearly 25% of those Buyers/Sellers who have deemed it an inconvenience to leave me any sort of feedback whatsoever, my transactions total should actually be listed near the 4,000 'successful transactions' mark...that's a lot of eBay transactions for one who bought a heck of a lot more than what he has actually sold.
If you've ever been one of my successful winning bidders, then you already know that I'm friendly, helpful, and that I'm also an easy person to get along with...really! I have never taken advantage of anybody and I don't expect nor tolerate being taken advantage of either, and although I participate in eBay as a hobby only, I am still serious about being both a Buyer and a Seller...as indicated by my excellent feedback history. It’s unfortunate, however, that it only takes a handful of ‘knuckleheads’ to have to ruin it for the majority of us who are just trying to have a good time buying and selling. Thanks again to all of you who have made my eBay transactions a trouble-free and pleasant experience!
~ To help keep our community a safe one, please find the time to leave appropriate feedback for all of your transactions...whether it be as a Buyer or as a Seller. Thanks for your help. ~
~ Notice to Sellers ~
My payments are always quick if not immediate, I do not nor have I ever made false claims, I always leave appropriate feedback with each transaction and I also expect timely reciprocation. If I pay for USPS 'Priority Mail', then I expect to receive the item(s) shipped to me via USPS 'Priority Mail' and not via other less expensive means as a way for the Seller to 'pocket' the difference! If I pay for delivery confirmation, then I expect to be promptly advised upon shipping with that tracking number (via both eBay's and PayPal's tracking systems), and I also expect that the package be sent to me with such confirmation attached/included...and the same goes for optional shipping insurance as well. If your shipping amount is 'unreasonable', then you'll probably not find me bidding on your item(s); however, if you're only charging the Buyer an additional fifty cents or so for shipping/handling, then I can most certainly understand that in times like these when fuel prices have 'gone through the roof'!
In the past, I had actually received two 'negative' feedbacks from two dishonest Sellers; the first was from a 'Sorry Seller' whom I had reported to eBay/PayPal for selling me an item with obvious undisclosed damage and who refused to reply to my numerous eBay messages advising him of said damage...which had not occurred during transit. The second, was from another obvious 'Scammer' whom I had reported to eBay/PayPal for never actually shipping me the items which I had immediately paid for - which in fact was confirmed via eBay/PayPal/Seller communique. Well, since those 'negative' feedbacks were solely issued in retaliation by those two dishonest 'Sorry Sellers' whom I had reported to eBay/PayPal for fraudulent/dishonest business practices, eBay subsequently removed those unjust 'negative' feedbacks and has since restored my 100% 'positive' feedback rating...as both an honest Buyer and an honest Seller. Fortunately for the eBay community, it appears that one of these Sellers has ceased doing business since that time, and I just hope that the other dishonest Seller has finally 'cleaned-up his act' and has not been allowed to do the same thing to other innocent Buyers.
Irregardless, because dishonest Sellers like the aforementioned had intentionally tried to damage/ruin my perfect 100% 'positive feedback' rating by leaving me 'unjust' retaliatory 'negative' feedback, although I paid both Sellers quickly and thus fulfilled my end of the obligation, eBay has since revised their Buyer/Seller feedback program. This is in part due to the fact that others, as well as myself, had grown tired of 'falling victim' to this type of unscrupulous/dishonest circumvention practiced by dishonest Sellers who had utilized eBay's feedback feature solely as a tool of retaliation, which in turn, had caused many innocent Buyers to become somewhat leery of leaving appropriate 'negative' feedback for those dishonest Sellers who rightfully deserved it.
I applaud eBay for finally considering one of my suggestions, as the 'newly updated' (05-08) feedback profile program has finally gone into effect. So, thanks to eBay, my 100% positive feedback rating (as both a Buyer and Seller) has once again been restored. Now, I just hope that eBay will soon begin implementing a 'mandatory feedback' program which will force both Buyers and Sellers to leave appropriate feedback for each transaction incurred, and to also avoid Sellers from holding feedback 'hostage'...so-to-speak!
So, to sum it all up...it's simple: Whether you're an occasional Seller or even a'PowerSeller', don't try and take advantage of me by shipping me something other than what you had listed (advertised) and what I had won and paid for! Don't try and ship me an item of a different color/size/style/model number, etc. Also, don't attempt to send me an item with undisclosed damage and which was not conveniently represented in your auction photos, as I will contact eBay/PayPal 'in a heartbeat' as soon as it becomes evident that I might have been 'taken advantage of'! Also, don't advertise an item unless you are 100% sure of what you actually have and also don't advertise an item unless you actually have it and also intend on shipping it! Also, if you are not in the position to ship your items in a relatively reasonable amount of time (within a couple of days after you have received payment), then maybe you shouldn't be selling anything in the first place?
~Notice to Buyers ~
~ Unless otherwise stated within my auction listings, these are my nonnegotiable'Terms & Conditions' ~
I remember the days when I wasn't forced to place a 'Terms & Conditions' section within my auctions, but obviously times have changed. Unfortunately, I've now been forced to protect myself against unscrupulous/dishonest Buyers/Sellers, as well as those individuals who just won't and/or refuse to read and understand my simple instructions!
Please Read And Understand The Following Before Placing Your Bid
Due to a recent trend where some winning bidders have decided to take it upon themselves to personally change my auction terms to suit themselves after the auction has ended or have actually just refused to follow through with their end of the commitment, I will now be forced to report these individuals to eBay and a possible criminal prosecution complaint might be filed against those 'nonperforming' bidders with the United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California...irregardless of their excuse! This is because eBay still charges me for listing the item (Listing Fee), as well as, an additional fee after the item has been won buy a winning bidder (Final Value Fee)...whether I actually receive payment or not. I'm tired of having to pay for needless fees which have resulted from the inappropriate actions by an increasing number of inconsiderate 'deadbeat' bidders.
I could really care less if you are also a Seller and 'do things differently' in your auctions. I will not be 'bullied' into doing things 'your way' and I highly suggest that maybe you should just remain Selling and simply forget about Buying...especially when it comes to bidding on any of my items! Also, read my payment instructions thoroughly, as they might just be different than what you may be used to and/or what you may be utlizing within your own auctions!
Please don't waste your, mine, and eBay's time by placing erroneous bids and/or asking questions which have already been answered/covered within my 'Terms & Conditions' section...eBay is serious business and not your personal forum to be playing 'childish games'! Also, for those Bidders who have retracted their bids citing some lame excuse like you had 'inadvertently entered the incorrect bid amount' will find yourself a permanent member of my Block Bidders/Buyers list...no exceptions!
~ Terms & Conditions ~
Bidding: Serious Bidders Only! - Your bid is a contract - Place a bid only if you're serious about buying the item. If you are the winning bidder, you will enter into a legally binding contract to purchase the item from the seller. Failure to follow through with your end of the contract may lead to referral for criminal prosecution with the United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California.
I have a preset limit on all of my auction items; i.e., a bidder can only bid on and/or win a total combination of five of my auctions within a ten day period. By having implemented such a condition, this has helped to eliminate those bidders who solely bid for the mere 'adrenalin rush' it gives them, yet never follow through with their end of the commitment. This has also helped to ensure that I will still receive my PayPal payment within a reasonable amount of time from those bidders who somehow feel it their 'right' to drag along the payment process by claiming that they will be winning more of my items (to take advantage of my 'combined shipping' offer), but then never really do.
Please ask any and all questions prior to placing your bid and also long before the auction is over; i.e., don't wait until the last five minutes or so prior to the auction's end to ask your question, as you may not receive an answer 'in time'. Please read my item descriptions thoroughly and read and understand my 'Terms & Conditions' prior to placing your bid or asking any questions which may have already been answered within this section.
Also, please understand that I really try to photograph, scan, and describe items as accurately as I know how. Unless noted otherwise, all items are ‘used’ and sold ‘as is’ and ‘all sales are final’. So again, please bid accordingly.
Blocked Bidder / Buyer List: I reserve the right to cancel any and all bids from those bidders with a ‘zero’ feedback rating, with a ‘negative’ feedback history, from those who have a history of frequent eBay User ID changes, from those bidders whom I've problems with in the past, from those bidders whom have wanted to argue with me with regard to my 'Terms & Conditions', and from those International Bidders who have continually 'hounded' me about accepting your bid(s).
I also reserve the right to cancel any and all bids from those individuals utilizing 'junk' e-mail addresses; i.e., @hotmail.com, @yahoo.com, etc. At my discretion, individuals utilizing these types of addresses might have their bid(s) canceled, and their e-mail address, as well as their eBay user ID permanently blocked from my system!
I will not consider any bidders' request(s) to end my auctions early. This is not only unfair to me, but it's also unfair to my other bidders as well, so please don't ask!
International Sales: Sorry, but I will now no longer be shipping to any foreign country and I will not entertain any requests asking me to do so by any foreign bidders (irregardless of how good your feedback history is), so please don't ask. Unfortunately, this now also includes Canada and Mexico.
Due to the advent of several complex foreign privacy laws, as well as recent documented media investigation into the questionable activity of various foreign postal services/agents, and as a result of several unsuccessful attempts by several foreign buyers to renegotiate fixed USPS shipping charges and/or also unsuccessfully trying to coerce me into falsifying customs documentation, I will now no longer ship to any foreign country and I will not entertain any requests asking me to do, so again, please don't ask!
If you're an international bidder and the preceding offends you, then please understand that this was not my intention by any means. Fortunately, the majority of my prior international sales have actually been trouble-free and I thank those foreign buyers for making these particular transactions a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, there have been a few which have been a 'total nightmare'; thus, ruining it for everybody else! Thanks for understanding.
So, if you're an international bidder, then please do not bid on my auctions...No International Sales !
Communication: I expect timely responses to all of my e-mails and payment requests. Whenever possible, I will always try to quickly respond to e-mails which contain 'legitimate' questions regarding items that I'm currently offering-up for auction; however, all non-pertinent e-mails will be forwarded to eBay, as well as to my IP, as unsolicited 'SPAM' mail and your e-mail address will also be permanently blocked from my system (no exceptions)! Also, please don't waste my time by intentionally asking me questions which have already been previously answered within this section!
After you have received your item(s) and you've determined that you are in fact happy with your purchase, I would like to be advised simply by having 'positive' feedback left for me. Please rest assured that I will most definitely reciprocate. I always reciprocate feedback and this can be verified by reviewing the feedback which I have left for my Buyers and Sellers alike.
Instant Payment:
PayPal payments only funded via your credit card or bank account...which means no eCheck payments!
Per eBay, checks and money orders are no longer allowed: As of October 20, 2008, eBay no longer allows Cashiers Checks, Money Orders, Personal Checks, or Business Checks as payment methods on eBay. Only approved electronic methods will be allowed' i.e., PayPal. In January 2009, all accepted payment methods will be integrated into eBay Checkout. If you don't like this decision, then I suggest that you direct your gripes toward eBay and also send them your complaints as well, as I had absolutely nothing to do with their decision. In fact, not being able to allow the acceptance of other forms of payment has also hurt my overall sales as well! I'm sure that eBay/PayPal implemented such a measure, because they eventually determined that they were 'missing-out' on receiving their 'cut' (PayPal percentage/processing fee) when Buyers paid by check or Money Order. So, if you still deem it necessary to send me your gripe(s) with regard to accepting PayPal only, then you will no doubt find yourself as the newest member of my Blocked Bidder / Buyer List !
For those Buyers who still continue to question my above statements, as of October 20, 2008, this is the message that Sellers have begun receiving when allowing alternative payment methods within their auctions:
Attention Sellers:
Please review your item
It appears that you are offering checks as a payment method which is no longer permitted in the eBay marketplace. As of January 15th, we will be removing any items that offer this payment method within the listing. Sellers must offer to accept one or more of the following payment methods
Paypal
Credit or debit card processed through an Internet merchant account
Propay
Sellers may in addition offer to accept Payment Upon Pickup.
Please revise your listing by removing the banned payment method. Based on the safety concerns and input from the Community, eBay has established an Accepted Payments policy that clarifies eBay's position on payment methods.
For more information on the Safe Payments policy, please click on the following link:
For Buyers, this change means a more consistent and secure payment experience. For Sellers (according to eBay), it means faster payment and fewer unpaid items (yet, I have not noticed this happening. In fact, I have experienced more 'deadbeat' bidders since this measure actually went into effect!). (Note this policy will not apply to Vehicles and some categories in Real Estate, Mature Audiences, and Business & Industrial). See FAQs for more details. So, I will no longer accept any other forms of payment. By no longer doing so, this should facilitate immediate payment, and also reduce unnecessary e-mail communication, repeated payment requests, and continuous follow-up.
I still expect that all PayPal payments be made within three days after the auction's end. If you're knowingly going to be away for sometime after an auction is to end, then just simply don't bid...unless you're still able complete your PayPal payment within three days after the auction's end! Auction currency is U.S. dollars ( US $ ) unless otherwise noted.
When utilizing PayPal as your method of payment, then I will only ship to your PayPal 'confirmed ship to' address, so please ensure that your shipping address has been confirmed with PayPal prior to making your payment, or even better yet, prior to even placing your initial bid. Thank you.
I will not entertain winning bidders' request(s) to compile 'phony' and/or 'doctored' receipts. Not only will these individuals be reported to eBay, but they will also be reported to the proper authorities!
Non-Paying Bidders: A report will be filed with eBay if no payment is received by the seventh day following the auction's end. At that time, the item may possibly be re-listed (my prerogative). Unfortunately, as a result of eBay's new 'feedback policy', legitimate 'negative' feedback can no longer be left for problematic and/or 'deadbeat' bidders as a viable warning to other Sellers; however, eBay will continue compile a 'strike list' against those problematic Buyers which will eventually affect their buying privileges and /or their eBay account status altogether!
Shipping: My shipping charges are fixed and non-negotiable. If you believe that my shipping amount is too high, then just simply don’t bid, but please keep in mind that I really do try to 'zero in' on the correct shipping amount. Although the postal service has now made it somewhat difficult to do so with their recent rate structure changes, I feel that I have still done a pretty good job in estimating the actual shipping charges. I do my best to include a legitimate shipping amount in all of my auctions in order to facilitate immediate payment by reducing unnecessary e-mail communication.
I have never had any 'hidden charges'; however, in times like these when fuel prices have 'gone through the roof', I will be charging an additional fifty cents or so for shipping/handling/transportation...I hope you will understand! Although I have never charged anything additional for packing material (as many other Sellers have begun doing lately), I will however, try to recycle boxes and packaging material whenever possible.
I only ship Monday through Friday (excluding U.S. Postal Service holidays) and only during 'normal' U.S. Postal Service operating hours (8am-5pm PST). Due to 'out-of-town' commitments, I usually only ship during the morning hours. So, if you expect your package to be delivered to you as quickly as possible, then I suggest that you process your PayPal payment as soon as you have received my invoice; otherwise, depending upon when I have received payment notification from PayPal, then your package may not be shipped until the following week. This especially becomes problematic if your payment is received late on Friday, as your package will then not be shipped to you until the following Monday...barring any postal holiday.
I will not ship outside the continental USA (to Hawaii or Alaska) without having first been contacted and the shipping costs/arrangements having been discussed and agreed upon in advance (prior to your bid)...no exceptions!
I will not be held responsible for any item(s) lost or damaged during transit. Although I personally feel that I do an excellent job securely packaging items for transportation, I still recommend that you purchase shipping insurance whenever it's available....just in case! It usually only runs about $1.70 for the majority of the items that I sell. Here's something that always strikes me as being rather odd: Why is it that a buyer who spends only a few dollars for an item usually always opts for shipping insurance, but the buyer who spends substantially more always seems to decline it...go figure?
Feedback: Although an increasing number of Buyers and Sellers find it an inconvenience to leave appropriate feedback, I still leave appropriate feedback for each and every transaction, that is, unless I have issues with a problematic and/or a 'deadbeat' bidder. Since only 'positive feedback' can be left for Buyers (due to eBay's new 'feedback' policy), it would then be inappropriate to leave such feedback, as this would in fact unintentionally falsify those bidders' overall feedback history rating. I update feedback daily and I have always reciprocated. Please do not e-mail me requesting feedback be left after having made your payment, as it will be done! Please rest assured that, unlike some others, I will most definitely reciprocate...if haven't left you appropriate feedback first. I always reciprocate feedback and this can be verified by reviewing the feedback which I have left for my Buyers and Sellers alike...although many have never reciprocated themselves?
So, now that we’re clear and you've read and now also completely understand my 'Terms & Conditions', I ask that you please place your bids accordingly. Again, please allow me to reiterate that I'm really an easy person to get along with...really, I am. All I expect is that your payment be made quickly, and that all transactions flow smoothly and flawlessly...that's all!
Thanks for visiting my 'about me' page and for also viewing my auctions.
Have fun in eBayland and good luck!
