When you think of holidays, traditionally people think of Christmas and Easter etc. There are many more holidays during the year than these two holidays. The people of the world celebrate holidays in their own countries that may not have a meaning to us.

Earth Day
Earth Day is April 22 this year. Perhaps the greatest
accomplishment of those who started Earth Day is the promotion of the holiday
into a worldwide event. Today, Earth Day is celebrated by one billion people
around the globe. In America and elsewhere, grassroots organizations,
governments and concerned citizens continue to take the lead on raising
awareness about local, national and global environmental issues.
