I selected this name a few years back when I had a home-based and part time business selling hand knotted, Oriental rugs. I don't do that anymore, but I kept the name.

If you buy rugs on eBay or elsewhere, be sure you know what you are getting. IS it hand knotted? WHERE was it hand knotted. WHEN (and how do you know) was it made? What is the rug's condition. What is the return policy. In this respect, note the shipping costs some are charging. They are outrageous and designed to keep you from returning the rug. See, if you buy a rug for $25 and the shipping cost you are charged is $75.00, that means the buyer got about $75 for the rug because his shipping was probably less than $25.00. It also means that if you want to return the rug, you have to pay his $75 shipping cost and your $25 return shipping cost. If you return the rug, you paid $100 and have nothing, and the dealer made $50 and still has the rug.  Avoid dealers with high, fixed shipping costs for small rugs.
