| Welcome to what started out as a mess...
It started with 60 boxes of comic books (50 short, 10 long) - nearly twenty years of comic book collecting. It continued with the following instructions: "Get them out of the basement by early Summer 2001."
After that, I was a man on a mission. I moved around furniture in my living room to accommodate all of these cartons. I found a storage facility with enough room to
hold them. Home Depot had terrific plastic shelves that could hold 20 boxes each (I bought quite a few)!
But, I was going to have to insure this stuff if it wasn't going to be in my house. Fortunately, my insurance company would allow me to set up a separate policy for the books.
The only problem: they wanted an itemized list! OMG - that was close to 7,500 books!
Well, one Microsoft Access database application, one Overstreet Guide ripped to shreds, and several months later, I am done, finished, had it. I am tired of this mess.
Most of it is in storage, but I know that there are plenty of eBayers who really, really, really want some of these books. So, they'll be available from time to time.
While I still had some strength, I spent several weeks (during the summer of 2002) building an e-commerce web site to let me concentrate on items that I did not have the time to sell on eBay.
I invite one and all to take a look at www.StreetLifeComics.com, where you get a 20% discount on all purchases. StreetLifeComics:
The web site where you can get the comic books you really want!
