    I've been doing hand work for as long as I can remember, from dolls to quilts, cross stitch and smalls...once I started hooking, over 10 years ago I became obsessed with it and that hasn't changed...there is something about the ease of working with wool and the speed at which I can hook that keeps me interested...my designs are no more on paper than I can draw them on the backing and hook away...I draw many of my own patterns but hook from other designers too...I use only the finest quality backings, wool and finishing yarns...each piece is created as if it were the only one, I don't rush and enjoy every step of the creative process...in fact, I actually enjoy making rugs more than I do owning them...

much of the wool I use is hand dyed by me...and most of the rest is textured as-is wool...

     I am the kank of the team...the designer, dyer and hooker...

    Chester is my very beloved 8 year old rescue cat...he's lived with me for over seven years now and is such a little buddy...he loves to hang out on the wool collection, on the rug in progress on the frame and generally anywhere I am...

   He's had some major health problems over the years, which despite excellent veterinary care and following his diet and medication Rx hasn't stopped the frequent emergency trips to the vet...

   So with all we've been through, I'm a bit more attached to him than I probably should be...but don't regret one cent or one minute of his care...

   My seller name is kanknchester because each rug created by me has been approved by him!
