studio-eclectica came into being 2002. located on sunny vancouver island canada, a wide range of artistic items are created. a wealth of talent resides here at the studio. when nick is not playing/recording music, he can be found pouring or painting our garden line of plaques and statues. karen loves frida kahlo and has taken over the sunny room of the house to produce her many creative pendents, sculpture, and paintings. her day of the dead dolls are collected world wide and hang in many private galleries and homes through out the world. orion can be found creating huge, M.C. Escher lego castles in the family room, along with the cat and dogs. {unless its a sunny day then you might find us out on the beach}

my love of frida kahlo and the day of the dead began in 1991 while i was living in mexico. after returning to canada in 1993, i began selling my art at local markets. after being diagnosed with lupus and fibromyalgia, i made the choice to quit my job in healthcare. my art career expanded with the love and support of my husband, and family. we now sell to over 60+ stores/galleries in canada, and as well some stores in the states. ebay has provided sales to international locations such as france, austrailia, ireland,and south korea. all this has proven to me that there is 'light' at the end of the tunnel. you just sometimes have to pick up your butt to get there. ebay has provided me with a global support network of people who suffer with chronic pain. we are here, and we are alive! thank you to all who support my ebay career. you people are the ones who have made the difference in my life. i plan to 'keep on listing', and am always happy to hear your impute on what you would like to see. please feel free to email me anytime.
