It would have been cheaper for me to get a bachelor's degree than it has been to absorb all the losses of 35 years in the woodworking business: bad product ideas, customer bankruptcys, expensive show travel, etc. I'd put that number at over $100,000 in 1970 dollars! Writing that makes me tired, but in reality, I wouldn't change a thing: I've enjoyed riding by the seat of my pants: the highs have been high, and the lows, low. We've always had more than enough, and some left over. Now, dealing in junk has always been a secret ambition of mine, and ebay allows me to do that as I enter my autumn years. I truely enjoy the hunt.
My wife and I have over 35 years of purchasing, manufacturing, warehousing, and customer service experience. We give 10% of our ebay sales each month to various charities such as Prison Fellowship, Gospel For Asia, Alliance Defense Fund, Harvest Crusade, Down Syndrome Association, and others. Our hobbies include gardening, fruit tree propagation, competitive volleyball, sewing, quilting, and grandparenting. We have met many fascinating, honest and good people selling and buying on ebay. Deo Soli Gloria!!
