My Blonde Moments!

Well its been 3 years since I have updated this me page so I guess its time ~ I continue to suffer with the effects of years of undiagnosed  lyme disease and lupus but I take life just a day at a time. Sometimes I feel good, sometimes I feel pretty lousy ....BUT I HAVE NOT LOST THE ABILITY TO LAUGH AT MYSELF ~  and anything else I can find to laugh at : ) Including you!  I try very hard to make each experience with you a pleasant one , and am so grateful to those of you who make it possible for me to continue doing this ! It keeps me sane and grounded ...busy and even pays a bill every now and again! Most of all it gives me a great deal of satisfaction to be able to customize safe, pure and natural mineral cosmetics for women! I worry about the things that we use on our faces for 'beauty' and want to be sure that we all consider that when we pick the cosmetics that we wear.

When I first started selling it was mainly to CLEAN house, then I found a clothing line that I LOVED , but could not afford to buy in the boutiques where it is sold ...Flax by Jeanne Engelhart. One of my symptoms is neuropathy. Severe pain in the nerve endings of certain areas of my body ....  The thought of my jeans almost sends me over the wall so I sold them all and bought FLAX by JE. I then started buying and selling FLAX and still do but have gotten into many other things over the past couple of years .. I sell mostly the things that I like ..either to wear or to use ...I have found that I have to like a product to want to research it and really enjoy selling it ...to take the time needed it has to be of interest to me.  Clearly Bare Minerals is my baby and being able to provide the service of customizing minerals to fit your needs is incredibly satisfying to me. During the 'down time' that I had when really ill I began to wonder about the products we use and if that could cause illness or damage to our immune systems. If you read the label on a bottle of makeup its like WOW ...what is that ?? I started to think about how medications are absorbed into a person through a patch (transdermally) on our skin and wonder if our makeup could be entering our bodies in the same way ? So , I set out to make the purest , natural mineral cosmetics and keep them affordable , fun and great looking ! I am enjoying being able to do something to help women with their skin 'issues'. It is a great deal of fun to me. I also have found some super vegan leather handbags by Via Nova !

 I did have to close my store due to my health issues, it was someting just too much for me to handle at the time. I have now decided to do another so welcome to the GRAND OPENING OF BEYOND THE TRENDS TOO ! Meanwhile I continue to sell my FLAX, and have added some wonderful Handbags, Diaperbags, Beach and Laptop Totes and being a HGTV nut,a few Home Decor items as well as ED HARDY and ENGLISH LAUNDRY !  ...I am very grateful for the kind feedback and hold my breath till THAT day comes when I get a bad one :o  ~  I enjoy almost ALL of my customers and have kept many loyal ones ! It makes all these hours spent researching , buying and listing to see great feedback and customers who actually come back because they love something in my store!

As for life , not much has changed there either ! My son, Chris returned from Iraq safe and sound and decided 8 years in the Army was enough time away from the 'Fam' . I sure appreciate all the great support and love I got here on Ebay during that deployment. Katelyn is no longer working with me much and also called off her wedding , so look out , Kate's and I are single. She now has a real job and not much time,  so this is my 'gig'now . She has however agreed to do some modeling for me and even allowed me to add a before and after makeover using nothing but Clearly Bare Minerals ! Please see my makeovers of Kate !

 I am still 47 ...:giggle: ...nah ..I am now 49, if I remember right and still growing and learning new things about ebay  ... I still miss nursing VERY MUCH ! I now know that with this illness I could not keep up with the stress of trauma nursing or most likely any nursing at this time. It is very hard to make a committment like that when your days run from good to bad to worse and back again !  I am going to do some more fundraising on my site and I just want you to know that I don't donate through any other organization such as Mission Fish. I found out when I was raising money for Operation Helmet that NOT as much as I thought was actually going towards my foundation so I now donate directly to whichever group I am raising money for and... I want you to know that IF you purchase or bid on an item I am donating to , IT WILL GET THERE HAND DELIVERED! I WANT TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND CONSIDERATION IN DOING SO !

I ship within 24 hours of payment unless of course on a Saturday then I ship first thing Monday morning and that is written in stone ...barring catastrophy ! I will include some pics of the 'fam' here!
