 Hello and welcome to my about me page.  My name is Kat and I live in northern Illinois and am a SAHM.  My 2 children are young adults now...22 & 18.  I have been with(Prince Charming) my best friend, closest confidant, husband for 24 years.  I am grandma to my daughters son, Brody...aka Handsom Pants...who was born July 2nd, 2008...And now another grandson(from my son) named Austin...aka Doodlebug on April 14, 2009.  Being grandma is much cooler than I had originally thought it would be.  I like the fact that you can love them, spoil them, get them all riled up...and send them home...it is awesome!!

I enjoy gardening, canning, cooking and baking and of course doll making. I enjoy garage sales, auctions, and shopping thrift stores!  I collect old "Junk"...Red handle cookware, pots and pans, coffee pots, old tins, and old plates and platters. 

I began sewing about 15 years ago...and I look back on those dolls and floppy earred bunnies and wonder "What was I thinking?"  I think I have come a long way since then.

I have done alot to get to where I am today.  I co-owned a craft consignmet shop  for 2 years(with fellow eBayer OldBagDesigns)...I have designed and sold pattern to many of my own creations, I have advertised in Better Homes and Gardens Crafters Showplace and Country Marketplace magazines(where one of my scarecrows was one of many to grace the cover).  I even had a sales representative who would take my things to shows and took orders from gift shops across the U.S.  And now I have dove head first into the world of eBay...and I truly love it!!  I have met some of the most wonderful people here who have trusted in me, given me advise, and suggestions....and I have learned from their words of wisdom.
