It's been some time here that I have even been to this page let alone edit some things, so please bear with me.  I began selling on eBay only as a means to start to clear out my "krap" out of this huge house, not to mention that of my sister's, brother's ...not to mention all of our parents then also.  I felt that if I persued this and tried to do this that when the dreaded time came to clean this estate out that it would be somewhat easier then. 

Our mom died in May, 1990 and our dad lived to be 86 and passed in 2004.  I had already started doing eBay and selling things on, and I should have known then that it would be soon that I would end up eBaying their life, not to mention all of that which was still here then of my siblings. 

Our parents lived a very fulfilling interesting life in our quaint little town of Streator, Illinois...in which our father having come back from WWII being a Navy Photographer did open up his photography business, which soon was very productive and he had the passion for photography.  They owned and operated two stores then at the time in not only our local town but also an adjoining town then as well.  As why you will see so many things available for bid either from their photography business or photography related then. 

Our dad was also one of the founding fathers for the Streatorland Historical Society...in which he bought as much historic items then as he possibly could.  He also saved the Majestic Theatre here in Streator from the wrecking ball back in the 1960's and which that theatre is still there today then, because of his persistance.   

Allot of items that we are currently putting up for auction we have no clue about or their revalance to this town or their historic merit............ but he did know.  We will, and do try to be as descriptive as we possibly can when listing any item up for bid, but as there is just so many things... that many we might not really know exactly where they did come from then....so please keep that in mind then. 

As far as doing eBay and selling our parents estate on here it for the majority has been a TRUE pleasure in dealing with buyers.  Granted there have been only TWO (knock on wood) that have been so hard to please!!  BUT for the most part eBay people are all great people...I am only talking about buyers.  I myself have only purchased a few things, but I can certainly relate to the buyers frustration then. 

I only hope and pray that I can do a good job being a good seller in that this is very emotional at times TO sell my parents whole "LIFE" let alone to go through it all then in doing so.  For the most part in all of this it's really been a "trip down Memory Lane".  I am so happy to hear back from customers who do write me back stating praise that they are so honored to give these items a new home....that in itself says it all then....truly.   

Now, as far as my personal life....I have grown up in this house in which I truly do love and yes is haunted then also.  Growing up in this house with all the antiques and history in it, not to mention all of the "strange" happenings that have occured here throughout all of our lives led me to then found The RIPS : Researchers In Paranormal Specters, of Streator, Illinois. http://www.the-r-i-p-s.com  We have been researching the paranormal for well over the past 25 years. 

We truly do believe and stand behind the fact that there are many things here on this earth with us that ......... yes can be that of past loved ones, ghosts, spirits and then also yes that of those that are demonic in nature.  Ironic as this sounds, but we have been contacted by many buyers who have inquired as to "where this item came from?"  .......... because of the energy they did feel when they received it. 

I hope that by coming forward and stating this fact that we don't lose customers then because of!!!!    My whole family including both of our parents knew this fact, and the fact of our father being a "professional photographer" then just added more proof to this then, he was our biggest RIPS fan, and couldn't wait then for us to come back from any investigation to show him what we did get then, and more so on 35 mm film. 

All items are coming out of this house........ which if there was any fear in this then we would state that fact then.  And......... before any religious people come forward then here to voice their views on that is fine, because we are a very diverse group that come from many religious walks of life and all DO highly believe in God then also.
